The actor has been battling pancreatic cancer and it seems that he cannot continue filming for the TV series, The Beast. It has thus been cancelled, leaving fans sad for more than one reason. It’s a pity when these things happen.

This is what his publicist was quick to announce, following rumors that the Dirty Dancing star has passed away. He has been fighting against pancreatic cancer since last year. Hey guys, this kind of rumor is nasty. Seriously, go pick on someone else.

In case you haven't heard, David Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital. Reports said that he was rushed there due to alcohol poisoning. A spokesperson has released statements to the effect that he is now doing fine.

For the first time in 17 years, Jay Leno was forced to cancel a taping of his show. He was taken to the hospital on Thursday for some illness. Details about the hospital or the illness have not been disclosed.

The Transformers star got into a car accident in July last year, resulting in a suspension of his driver’s license. More than that, however, he injured his hand. In a recent interview, he said that he will soon be able to drive again but probably will only have about 80% use of his hand.

Farah Fawcett was reported to have been rushed to the hospital last week, but details were not really provided. Now we know that she suffered from slight bleeding in her abdomen, and that she has been released. The actress is battling cancer but is reported to be in good spirits.

The former Charlie’s Angel has been battling cancer for several years now, and the news is that she has been admitted to the hospital last week. The 62-year-old actress is mother to a son with longtime partner, Ryan O’Neal.

Robin Williams has had to put his show, Weapons of Self Destruction on hold. The reason? He has to undergo heart surgery, specifically, an aortic valve replacement. Our support goes out to him and his family.

Usher was one of the many celebrities who was supposed to perform at the party honoring Clive Davis. He had to cancel his performance and had to rush to Brazil to be with his wife, Tameka. Apparently, she was suffering from complications due to plastic surgery. No details have been released as to her condition.

Some good news for fans of Patrick Swayze. He has been released from the hospital, following a bout with pneumonia. The actor’s spokesperson said that he is doing well and resting. Hopefully, he will be up on his feet pretty soon.

No, he did not have a heart attack as some news reports earlier said. Instead, Howie Mandel was hospitalized due to an irregular heartbeat. I wonder who has sent his heart a-fluttering? Seriously, get well soon!

Patrick Swayze has a new series dubbed “The Beast” and was supposed to attend a meeting with the Television Critics Association. He was not able to make it as he had checked himself into the hospital due to a bout with pneumonia. Get well soon!

Rumors have been circulating that the King of Pop needed a lung transplant due to a rare respiratory disease but a spokesperson was quick to deny this. Dr. Tohme Tohme, MJ’s “official and sole” spokesperson said that “Concerning this author’s allegations, we would hope in the future that legitimate media will not continue to be exploited by such an obvious attempt to promote this unauthorized biography. Mr. Jackson is in fine health and finalizing negotiations with a major entertainment company and television network for both a world tour and a series of specials and appearances.”

Ever the perennial yoyo dieter, Oprah has sadly lost the battle with the bulge, tipping the scales at 200 lbs., 40 lbs heavier from her 160 lbs earlier this year.
“I’m embarrassed … I can’t believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I’m still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, ‘How did I let this happen again?’ ”
The media mogul told the Associated Press before the launch of her January issue of O Magazine where she talks openly about her weight problem. Poor Oprah, with a thyroid problem and an compulsive eating disorder, she has confessed that of late, she has felt like “a fat cow”.

“A lot of people have told me about the surgery and they say the hardest part is just being quiet”
Rachael Ray, the queen of cooking talk show television told the crowd during a charity event hosted by Rosie O’Donnell. Despite the grim news, Rachael characteristically stayed upbeat as she candidly spoke about her upcoming throat surgery.
“I’m having voice surgery on Dec. 16, so we’re going to celebrate very quietly……It’s fine, it’s just a little bump, I need to get rid of it though.”
Ray explained, continuing to joke on how she planned to write on a pad of paper to communicate, saying that she was going to “grow back the callous” that she had in grade school.
In October, Rachael’s reps told the press that the cooking star had found a small lump in her throat and had to have it removed. They said it WASN”T throat cancer. Phew.
