Her shirt says she loves someone else, but Rosie O’Donnell predicts a rosy future for Ellen Degeneres as an American Idol judge (no pun intended). She said that Ellen would be much better than Paula, who “was often incoherent.” Well she’s right about the incoherent part, but that was also Paula’s charm, wasn’t it?

Rosie Says Family Is Forever

Kelli Carpenter-O’Donnell and Rosie O’Donnell were rumored to be separating. According to the talk show host, however, they are still a couple. In her blog, she wrote that “we r family, family is forever.”

Rosie O’Donnell Joins The Boyle-wagon

**UK NEWSPAPERS OUT** Susan Boyle jokes with photographers as she leaves her home in the Scottish village of Blackburn
Rosie announced her break from blogging some time back and she has pretty much stuck to her word. She has made an exception for British singing sensation Susan Boyle, however. Why not? Everyone’s talking about her, Rosie couldn’t very well not join the fray, right?

What does she have to say?

“”Here’s a woman who, at my age — 47, was perfectly content to live in a little village in Scotland and sing in a pub, and then she came and did this and two hundred million people saw her,” Rosie told Access Hollywood. “That’s like being hit by a tidal wave. We will never see the Susan Boyle that we saw that night again! That’s done. It’s been washed away.”

Rosie O’Donnell: Blogger No More

Rosie O'Donnell

It’s not the first time that she has done it but at the start of 2009, Rosie O’Donnell says in her blog:

“2009

this year
unplugged
see what happens
on we go

peace out
and in ”

Followers of the celebrity are surely going to miss her haikus. Others simply wouldn’t notice.

“A lot of people have told me about the surgery and they say the hardest part is just being quiet”

Rachael Ray, the queen of cooking talk show television told the crowd during a charity event hosted by Rosie O’Donnell. Despite the grim news, Rachael characteristically stayed upbeat as she candidly spoke about her upcoming throat surgery.

“I’m having voice surgery on Dec. 16, so we’re going to celebrate very quietly……It’s fine, it’s just a little bump, I need to get rid of it though.”

Ray explained, continuing to joke on how she planned to write on a pad of paper to communicate, saying that she was going to “grow back the callous” that she had in grade school.

In October, Rachael’s reps told the press that the cooking star had found a small lump in her throat and had to have it removed. They said it WASN”T throat cancer. Phew.

Glamour for a good cause

Enough with the sad Hollywood tales of drug overdoses and nervous breakdowns.

Let’s look at the glamorous and fun side of the celebrity scene — and no one does glamour better than these people. Madonna (remember when we thought she was a bad girl? she looks lke Mother Teresa compared to Britney) threw a star studded benefit for UNICEF, co-sponsored by Gucci. Next to here are the power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Madonna’s now 11 year old daughter, Lourdes. Rosie O’Donnell’s there, too — though she won’t be touching the alcohol; she says she’s quit drinking.

None other that comedian Whoopi Goldberg will be replacing washed up celeb Rosie O’Donnell on “The View” this fall.  Good ole Barbara Walters made the announcement on the morning talk show on Wednesday, to many cheers & applause.

Walters told the crowd, “I have known Whoopi for years. She is brilliant, funny and irrepressible, and is an enormously popular and talented star.”

“This is going to be a great new chapter for The View.”

Whoopi has been a guest on the TV talk show several times before & will be making her moderator debut September 4, at the start of the eleventh season.  Jeez, has it really been that long?!

Goldberg said she is looking forward to the task, saying, “I’m really glad to be doing The View.”

“It’s a show I like with people I like, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Looking forward to seeing Whoopi back in action!

As we reported on Wednesday, Rosie O’Donnell plans to leave “The View” at the end of the season, citing a disagreement on contract terms.

Well, it looks like Rosie put that lightly.  Apparently O’Donnell pulled the number, 10 million out of her wide ass to ABC.  Hilariously, Rosie asked the broadcasting network for $10 million for her continued talk show hosting for a year.   Wow, what, did she not really want to go back on the show & decided to pull out a big one they could never agree to?

Interestingly, ABC was willing to negotiate, countering Rosie’s $10 million for one year, for $3o million for three years.  But O’Donnell didn’t budge one bit, only wanting to do one more year of the show.

Hmm, anyone up for giving me $30 million for co-hosting “The View” is more than welcome!

If you believe the buzz, talk show queen Rosie O’Donnell will be saying goodbye to “The View” today.

According to reports, O’Donnell may be saying farewell to her audience on the popular talk show Wednesday.  Of course, Rosie will more than likely stay through the end of the season, but dismiss herself afterward.

Unfortunately, Rosie’s rep was unreachable for comment sake, but they probably weren’t going to say much anyhoo.

You tell me- Do you think Rosie’s leaving?

Daytime talk diva Rosie O’Donnell is up for contract renewals with “The View” very soon.  With all the hubbub & bashing about Donald Trump & all around mischief, we’re all wondering if the comedian will be re-signed or for that matter, if Rosie even wants to come back to the show.

According to Page Six, 44-year-old O’Donnell is talking about doing “The View” for just one more year before launching her own talk show in 2008.  But is there going to be many people lining up for that kind of news?  You tell me.
