The show is set to open “sometime” in 2011.
Stiller will play Artie Shaughnessy a zookeeper in Queens who has aspirations to break big as a songwriter, while Falco plays his schizophrenic wife named Bananas.
According to PopCrunch:
The play shadows the family on the day that Pope Paul VI visited New York City in 1965.
This will be the second time Ben puts on his theater shoes for Blue Leaves. He first appeared in a 1986 production of the stageplay, only that time he played his current character’s son.
What do you think about the casting of Stiller and Falco in the roles they’ve received?
