“I read that you are not a fan of the Kardashian look,” Joy Behar asked fashion guru Tim Gunn on CNN’s The Joy Behar Show.
“Oh, Joy. Who is?” Tim responded. “I find that it’s—while it may have some sexiness to it—I find it’s largely vulgar. It has a cheapness and tawdriness.”
“Now I’m going to worry about the Kardashian sisters attacking me!” he added. Better yet, watch out for an angry mob of Kardashian fans dashing (pun intended) towards Tim with pitchforks!
Tim later narrowed his focus on one particular Kardashian—Kim. “She’s pretty, but she’s a poser. I find that when she’s moving, it all goes away for me.”
According to Yahoo! TV blogger Mike Ryan, Tim Gunn began his battle with everything Kardashian back in February during New York Fashion Week when he commented: “I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that should be perpetuated. I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty snob, but it bothers me.”

New York City’s Seventh Avenue will no longer be called 7th Avenue—at least every Thursday. In an effort to resuscitate the ailing garment industry, Manhattan is temporarily renaming Seventh Avenue as “Project Runway Avenue.”
Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia, and Michael Kors led the renaming of Seventh Avenue/Project Runway Avenue last Wednesday in honor of the reality show’s return to New York City.
Project Runway wrapped up its sixth season in L.A. and has returned to its original home in New York. “New York City and the Fashion District represent the best and most creative elements of the global fashion industry, so we are excited that Project Runway has come home to its rightful place,” Fashion Center BID President Barbara Randall said at the ceremony.
Kate: “Yo taxi, could you take me to Project Runway?”
Taxi Driver: “Where?!”
Kate: “Oh wait, it’s Friday, so just take me to Seventh Avenue.”
