After being publicly dumped by Paramount Studios last week, it looks like Tom Cruise has landed butter-side-up.  Scientologist Cruise has cut a new deal with a group that includes the owner of an NFL team.  The finance group will cover the overhead costs of his film production company and will be acting as a backer for Cruise.

Interestingly, this two-year deal will give Cruise less than the $3 million per year that he turned down from Paramount to renew his contract which expires this Thursday.

Poor old, crazy Tom.  Well, at least he found a new home, even though he is a sexist.
