The 2010 MTV VMA Awards kicked off with Eminem and ended with Kanye West and while those legends of Rap may have ushered in and out the show, it was Lady Gaga and her 13 nominations that dominated the night. While performances by Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift showed that pop music is alive and kicking in full force.

Entire Cast Of Jersey Shore Charged With Assault

Here's one you won't hear everyday, the entire cast of MTV's hit reality series Jersey Shore are being taken to court over a claim by a woman that she was assaulted by the show's security guards.
Among those named in the case? Snooki, The Situation, JWOWW and all the other mainstay characters on the show.
Also named in the lawsuits are the staff at 495 Productions, MTV and MTV's parent company Viacom.
Snooki Arrested In Seaside Heights

Jersey Shore's very own Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was arrested on Friday in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on charges of disorderly conduct.
The arrest occurred as Season 3 taping is underway and TMZ.com reports:
“Law enforcement sources tell us the Seaside Heights PD busted Snooki moments ago for disorderly conduct. The details of that conduct are unclear.” Read the rest of this entry »
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Could Be Close To New MTV Contract

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is already making $10,000 an episode to act like a total moron on MTV's hit TV show Jersey Shore and now we've learned that his contract for further seasons could reach much higher.
According to TMZ, the network has offered "The Situation" a one-time bonus ranging from $60,000 to $180,000 based on ratings for Season 2 in Miami. They have also proposed paying Sorrentino somewhere between $27,500 - $45,000 per episode for Season 4.
Under MTV's new plans, season two would be broken up into seasons 2 and 3 (in which Sorrentino is already making $10k per episode), which means the next episodes to be shot for season 4 would pay Mike the larger sum. Read the rest of this entry »

Why would anyone want to be called Lil Mama? Anyway, Lil Mama is her name and she did a little Kanye at the VMA. Poor little girl, no one even really noticed – at least no one talked about it except for TMZ, who must have been feeling sorry for her.
You might not have noticed, but Lil Mama jumped onto the stage at the end of the performance of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. It’s sad that she dared do something like that. It’s sadder that no one noticed.

Lady Gaga has never been one to play it safe when it comes to her costumes and clothes. This year’s VMAs was no different. US Magazine showed her in all of her glory at the awards. They say it was a shocking outfit, I think it’s Lady Gaga being true to form.

Country hottie Taylor Swift has come into her own, as attested to by her win at this year’s VMA. Unfortunately, Kanye West decided to be the rude person that he tends to be and interrupted her in the middle of her speech. He said:
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”
Needless to say, everyone took Taylor’s side and Kanye got thrown out. Why does he do these things???
Janet Jackson On MTV VMAs; To Pay Tribute To Bro

Janet Jackson is going to open this year’s MTV VMAs, and she is going to do it with a tribute to her brother, Michael. Needless to say, it is the most appropriate thing to do after his passing and considering his contribution to the popularity of music videos. This should be quite a production!
