Susan Boyle’s security team is beefing up their watches after it was reported early this month that Boyle has yet another crazy stalker fan.
According to reports, the unidentified man got a hold of Boyle’s phone number and other personal contact information and has been leaving her scary messages, while claiming to be her brother Gerry.
Susan’s actual brother Gerry told News of the World:
“He is calling Susan and pretending to be me or other relatives. It’s been going on for a while. Susan knows who I am when I get on the phone. She never mistakes me for him. There are some weird people around. But this one is stalking her and has got her number. It is serious. Stalkers can become dangerous.”
It’s not the first case of a creepy fan Susan has run into, earlier this year she returned home to a teen intruder who was taking a “tour” of her house. Later on she received many letters from an American woman who flew to West Lothian, Scotland to be with Boyle.
According to PopCrunch Gerry believes stalker cases are getting worse for his sister and he wants more protection for her:
“Susan knows having stalkers goes with the territory. She’s massively well known so having people interested in her is going to happen. It’s down to her management to work it out for her. How has someone been able to contact her? Our family have very serious reservations about whether she has enough security at the moment. She needs protection or it’s a matter of time.”
“Mark Chapman killed John Lennon because he knew he was an easy target with no security. That’s the same as Susan right now. I’ve been telling them that for ages. It is scary.”
If Susan Boyle has one safety net going for her it’s that she’ll be jet setting across the globe over the next year, hopefully keeping her a few steps ahead of the crazies.
