Rihanna is back with a new single under Island Def Jam Records. “Russian Roulette†is a dark ballad that fans interpret as referential to her emotional relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. He is still under a court order that requires him to stay away from his former girlfriend after assaulting her on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
The single is part of her upcoming album Rated R. Both the album and music video will be available in November.
And what a coincidence. Rihanna’s new single was released last Tuesday, the same day Chris Brown announced the dates of his fan appreciation tour and launched his new single.
Although “Russian Roulette†isn’t as impressive as her previous R&B hits, the single’s edgy graphics are worthy of your attention. It features a bolder Rihanna wrapped in a nude corset and barbed wires. Polish it off with her initials made of blade and a blood-dripping title, and you’re looking at the new princess of bondage fashion.
