Although she was tabloid fodder most of her adult life, the late Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson deserves some positive news, especially since she was finally laid to rest yesterday in New Jersey.
The entire Johnson family, as well as the coaches and team employees of the New York Jets (Casey’s father owns the football team), wore blue bracelets that said “Cure Diabetes” in honor of Casey when they attended the recent game of the Jets and Cincinnati Bengals. According to TMZ, a memorial fund for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was also set up in Casey’s honor.
Casey was a diabetic patient herself, but recent autopsy reports have not determined if diabetes or drugs had anything to do with the 30-year-old’s death. It also showed inconclusive results due to pending tests and microscopic studies. The new tests are expected to take about eight weeks before final results are announced.
