Shakira has momentarily traded in her microphone and swinging hips to write a children’s book to benefit charity.
Shakira wrote the book, titled World School Adventure Day based off the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series Dora The Explorer with a publish date set for the end of the year and all profits from the book going to the Pies Descalzo Foundation, a group that supports needy children from all over the world.
According to the songstress:
“Dora is an inspiration for all children in the world. It was an honor working with Nickelodeon to write this story as education is a cause very close to my heart.”
