While Elton John was busy making money off of stars, George Clooney was not to be seen at The Oscars. Where was he? He had an important meeting with the President regarding his trip to Darfur! Clooney went to Darfur as a UN Messenger of Peace.
Despite the recession, Elton John was able to gather a huge crowd of stars to his Oscar Party this year. The goal was to raise money for charity benefiting AIDS and did he reach that goal! With $3 million made, his charity will be very happy indeed.
I didn’t know that Hugh Jackman could sing! And he could dance too. I don’t know much about his opening number as host of the Oscars but the theme of his opening speech was “downsizing.” He said that there was no budget for the opening number so he did one anyway. Pretty different but pretty cool, I think. He really is a hunk.
