The first round of auditions for the new season of American Idol has begun. Instead of Paula Abdul, hopefuls faced Posh Spice. Simon Cowell says that he may have bickered with Paula, but he definitely felt her absence. Contestants seem to have the same feeling. Will AI still be as big as it was without her?

Paula Abdul Has A Bright Future Ahead
For most people, being taken out of the roster of the judges of American Idol may mean the end of one’s career, but this is not the case with Paula Abdul. She says that she is receiving a lot of offers and may even consider being a judge in the show “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Adam And Boyfriend: Doing Great
He was a hit from the start, and even when he openly admitted that he is gay, Adam Lambert’s fan base did not suffer. Indeed, it was to be expected. Now he is on the road with fellow Idol contestants, but he says that his relationship with boyfriend Drake LaBray is going strong.
Paula Abdul Says Bye-Bye; Shocks AI Fans
She is definitely not the best judge there is, and she certainly has had her moments as a judge on American Idol. That does not mean that she is not an integral part of the show, however. And her latest stunt is a big blow to AI, I think. Paula just announced that she will not be coming back for the next season of AI. I don’t know how that is going to work out. Can you imagine Kara taking her place? The dynamics are going to be so screwed.
Former AI Contestant, Alexis Cohen Killed In Hit And Run
Alexis Cohen was one of the contestants in American Idol’s season 7 and was one of the most memorable of the bunch. Simon Cowell didn’t vote her through to Hollywood, but Alexis took it defiantly and said that she would go into acting. She subsequently appeared in some TV and radio shows.
Over the weekend, her body was found on the road by passerby. Apparently, she was a victim of a hit and run. Our condolences go out to her family.
