And what a smashing night it was! Fans who purchased tickets to Wednesday night’s concert at Madison Square Garden, New York City, were more than satisfied with the 29-year-old’s show.
Who says you can’t raise funds for Haiti while hitting the clubs? Last week Hollywood celebs and their friends clinked glasses and danced the night away at The Eldridge in New York City for a Haiti benefit party.
Hosted by Matt Levine, Solange Knowles, and Kevin Barnes, the party’s proceeds went straight to Yele, singer Wyclef Jean’s charity organization for Haiti earthquake victims. Guests included Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles, who did a semi-reunion of Destiny’s Child when she sang with Michelle Williams. Solange played DJ the whole night, as she spun Michael Jackson and Prince tracks.

“I’ve never heard a Jay-Z song,” that’s what teen pop start Miley Cyrus said in her web site. Despite the fact that she sings about him in her her hit single, she has never listened to a “real” song by Jay-Z. What cave has been hiding in?
Everyone and his mom has been hounding Kanye on his
stupid move at the VMA – even President Obama! Rapper Jay-Z seems to be the only person to stand up for Kanye. He says that Kanye is just really passionate and that he doesn’t deserve all this flak. He also says that while it was rude what he did, he didn’t kill anybody.
Easy for you to say, pal, you weren’t the one being dissed. PLUS, perhaps it didn’t hurt that it was his girl that Kanye was rooting for!
Why would anyone want to be called Lil Mama? Anyway, Lil Mama is her name and she did a little Kanye at the VMA. Poor little girl, no one even really noticed – at least no one talked about it except for TMZ, who must have been feeling sorry for her.
You might not have noticed, but Lil Mama jumped onto the stage at the end of the performance of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. It’s sad that she dared do something like that. It’s sadder that no one noticed.
