Even before MTV brought you 17 seasons of Cribs, starting in 2000, people were obsessed with the lives of the celebrity, including the homes they live in. If the world weren’t so obsessed with them this show would have died off quickly, and there wouldn’t still be shows out there, although most of the popular ones only lasted a couple seasons.
People still pick up celebrity magazines, and they still do what they can to emulate their favorite stars, whether it’s buying the clothing they were or decorating their homes with the same stuff a celebrity would. In fact, a simple search for “a look inside celebrity homes” will be you all sorts of results.
Keep Your Home In Shape
The celebrity home isn’t all just about giant inground pools and fancy palm trees, or huge windows to not throw stones at. Celebrities like to look good, and they like to keep their homes looking good. On the inside and outside, of course.
That means if you want a celebrity styled home you need to start with making sure the outside is just as fabulous as the inside. Make sure that your roof doesn’t have any lifting or lost shingles, repair or replace any broken or missing siding, and clean your windows, inside and out.
Make Your Yard Pop
You also want to make sure that your yard itself looks good. A celebrity will always have a beautifully manicured lawn, and if you can afford to hire a professional landscaper to be at your beck and call, then you’re going to need to do it all on your own (or invest in some fake grass for your entire lawn).
From pools to hot tubs, celebrities have it all. Even if you can’t afford these things you should still have a nice party area in your backyard with some matching lawn furniture, a grill that doubles as a smoker, and some pretty twinkling light.
Pick The Right Decor
Once you’re back to turning the inside of your home into something that is celebrity chic, you should spend some time perusing celebrity home decor. Find out what colors are popular in their world, what styles of furniture they are currently into, and what sort of accents will have your home looking like you just starred in a blockbuster movie.
Don’t Forget The Entertainment Room
Speaking of movies, you must have an entertainment room if you want your home to emulate that of any type of celebrity. Invest in a big screen TV, get a 3D BluRay player, and finish it off with some cushy theater seating. You may even want to have a little bar put in your entertainment room, equipped with a wine cooler and a kegerator, as well as a popcorn machine.
