It was all out glam with the Hollywood ladies, not to mention the obvious battle between nude-coloured gowns at the 2013 Golden Globes.
Anne Hathaway, Ben Affleck, Daniel Day-Lewis and Jessica Chastain all took home their Globes respectively, but the highlight of the evening was not Sacha Baron Cohen’s upskirt shot joke on Anne Hathaway, but rather Jodie Foster’s timely coming out acceptance speech.
Jodie Foster went all out emotional when she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Golden Globes. She then proceeded to thank her ex-partner of 20 years whom she has two children with- Cydney Bernard. Jodie Foster also paid tribute to her mother who is suffering from dementia.
‘This is not going to be a big coming out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age – in those very quaint days when a fragile girl would open up to trusted friends and family and coworkers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her. But now apparently I’m told that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a primetime reality show.’

More awards were given out: Big winners like Anne Hathaway won Supporting Actress for a Motion Picture for Les Miz and celebrates her evening partying with fellow Globe winner Jessica Chastain who won the Best Actress award for Zero Dark Thirty.
