My favorite American Idol season 5 finalist Ace Young is taking a huge step in his career.
The 29-year-old is playing the role of Berger in Broadway’s hit musical Hair, which just celebrated its first anniversary yesterday.
Ace just finished his successful stint as Kenickie in the revival of Grease on Broadway. In Hair, his character Berger is offering more than meets the eye to Ace Young fans. He is going completely naked for Hair’s infamous group nude scene.
“If I could walk down 42nd Street with a bar of soap and let the rain clean me, I would,” he told People. “I’m comfortable with my body.”
I believe Ace is in his element onstage. His career as a singer didn’t exactly take off, and although he writes good songs, it would be a shame to let that handsome face stay behind the scenes.
