During his last three months on the air talk show host Larry King routinely saw 674,000 viewers to his popular show, however just two weeks after taking over the show and with a huge advertising campaign supporting him, Piers Morgan is barely managing just over 50% of King’s original viewer numbers.
Piers Morgan Tonight has went from 2.1 million viewers during his shows January 17 premier to just 498,000 viewers as of Thursday’s show featuring uber-popular socialities and reality TV stars Kim and Kourtney Kardashian

With Jesse Eisenberg, star of The Social Network hosting SNL last night, it was the perfect time for Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, to make his primetime debut and that’s exactly what happened.
Here’s a video of Eisenberg opening the show with the help of The Zuck (He appears part way through the opening monologue):
I personally enjoyed the “I invented poking” line Zuckerberg delivered, even if he did seem to feel a bit akward standing on the live stage of Saturday Night Live, but who could blame the guy, he’s not a trained actor.
Turns out Zuckerberg and Eisenberg don’t appear to be mortal enemy’s after all. What did you think about Facebook’s CEO appearing on Saturday Night Live?

John Lithgow will guest star on the hit TV series How I Met Your Mother where he will play none other than Neil Patrick Harris’ dad on the CBS sitcom.
If Lithgow is half as good as he was on 3rd Rock From The Sun, it should be a treat to watch him play the character of Jerome Whitaker on the show which is set to air “later this season.”
If you’re a fan of the show, as I am, you are probably aware that Barney (Patrick’s character) has spent years searching for his dad, but has never managed to find him.

CW’s hit series 90210 is getting a shakeup with the announcement that series regulars Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold will not be returning during season four of the show.
Just like the original Aaron Spelling ’90s version of the show, adult actors are being phased out as the shows central characters grow up and head off to college, putting them in more grown-up adult situations.

The cast of Jersey Shore will head to the shores of Italy for the 4th season of MTV’s top rated reality TV series.
MTV on Wednesday gave the green light for the new season and the far away filming location.
As you may recall, Italians and Italian-American’s once decried the show for it’s stereotypes of Italian culture, so it will be interesting to see how the cast is received when returning to their ancestors homeland. Oh wait, half the cast, specifically Snooki and J-WOWW aren’t actually Italian.
In a press release MTV said of the new season:

MTV’s new TV series Skins has lost their fourth advertiser. Subway has decided that the new show is too controversial and they have parted ways.
The show has come under fire in the last week from The Parents Television Council (PTC) who claims that the shows use of underage actors and actresses in sexual scenes borders on child pornography and exploitation. The average age of show members is 15 to 19 years old, although no nudity is shown.
In the last week Taco Bell, General Motors and Wrigley Gum have all announced that they will not allow their ads to run any further on the show.
An H&R Block ad also ran by accident during an episode of the show which forced H&R Block to express their anger at the network.

Regis Philbin decided it was time to leave Live With Regis And Kelly after he was told he would be receiving a paycut due to poor ratings on his former hit morning show.
Currently Regis Philbin rakes in upwards of $18 to $20 million per year, however after talking to ABC executives his now fired agent Jim Griffin told Regin that they couldn’t come to a deal that would secure the same amount of money.
Regis is believed to have told co-host Kelly Ripa about his decision just 15 minutes before going on the air to announce that he would be leaving ABC.

Annie Ilonzeh has been cast as the first angle in the new Charlie’s Angels reboot.
The reboot, to air on ABC, is being produced by Sony Pictures TV and Flower Films, the company owned by Drew Barrymore. As I’m sure you will recall, Barrymore appears in both the 2000 and 2002 Charlie’s Angels films.
The new pilot takes place in Miami and will follow the same format as the original 70′s show with a mysterious voice, Charlie, leading the Angels on adventures.

According to industry numbers, 26.1 million viewers tuned in to check out the newest season of singers and no doubt the new judging panel. While those numbers are considerably lower than last season, American Idol still easily won the night.
The ratings were the lowest debut since Summer 2002.

Poor Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear, their biopic miniseries about the Kennedy family, titled The Kennedy’s has been turned down by most major TV networks and now they can add Showtime to that list.
The History Channel, originally slated to air the miniseries announced several days ago that they canceled plans to air the controversial retelling of the family, mostly focusing on JFK and Jackie O.
Last week History Channel execs said the series was “well shot” but was also not a “good fit” for their programming. The miniseries was then pitched and turned down by Starz and FX.
Showtime shooting down the series shouldn’t come as a surprise, in 2004 they ran a miniseries on the Reagans which was met with horrendous reviews and no doubt they wanted to avoid that same fate once again.

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber is set to return to his role as a troubled teen on the hit CBS series CSI.
Bieber will reappear on the show this February 17, picking up where he left off during his first appearance on the series, when his brother was killed by Vegas police just as the episode ended.
The new episode is titled Targets Of Obsession and is still in production, however that hasn’t stopped Bieber from Tweeting pictures from the set to his millions of Twitter fans.
The show will air at 9 PM ET.
Are you going to be tuning in for this episode. As a fan of the show I’ll probably watch, but I couldn’t stand Bieber’s first appearance.

Angelina Pivarnick sounded pretty confident about her decision to leave Jersey Shore but with her hopes riding on a yet to be realized TNA Wrestling contract and a failed hip hop career it looks like she’s opening up about her regrets of leaving the show.
Pivarnick told RumorFix.com:
“I would be a liar if I told you I didn’t miss it, because I actually do. I miss the fact that I was part of such a big TV show.”
Angelina had walked about the show twice before ending her contract with MTV last year. She said at the time that the show had spiraled her into depression. Specifically Pivarnick says her cast mates brought on her depression through their constant torment.

The best moments on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon have come from the hosts willingness to take to the mic with guest stars and this week Fallon shared a rap with Gwyneth Paltrow.
The duo, decked out in goofy hip hop outfits performed a song from their 90′s group Shazzazz. You may recall that in 1999 while hosting Saturday Night Live, Paltrow and Fallon performed as their characters Mindy and Skye.
On the show this time around the duo sang their characters songs “Let’s Do It” followed by “Do It Again” and “We Did It.”
Here’s the video of the skit brought to us by NBC:
