“Going Rogue: An American Life,” is the title of Sarah Palin’s memoir, which is due to be released on November 17. A day before that, however, she is going to sit down with the talkshow queen, Oprah Winfrey. This should be a very interesting rendezvous to say the least!

The Queen of talk shows is being sued by Corrine Gehrls, a flight attendant in a private jet that Oprah used to take. The story is that Gerhls was accused of having sex with the pilot while Oprah and her bunch were fast asleep. Gehrls and the pilot passed a polygraph test, but they were still fired from their posts. Gehrls is now seeking over $75,000 in damages. Oprah has not said a word about the suit.

Oprah’s show is normally shot in Chicago but this Friday, the crew is going to Central Park. Viewers will be treated to various guests including Mariah Carey, who is scheduled to sing a single from her new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.” I wonder why the queen of talk shows suddenly had the urge to go to the park?

The diva is making her comeback, and she is dishing out details on her volatile relationship with Bobby Brown. In a recent interview with Oprah, Whitney revealed how, on one occasion, Bobby Brown spit on her and she made him bleed. Their daughter was watching the whole time. Talk about messed up, huh? I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I would want to share this with the whole world!

Sportscaster Erin Andrews lived a nightmare when a nude video of her circulated on the Internet. Now, she has gone past it and is gaining her normal life back. She went on Oprah last week and shared her experience, saying that she thought her career was over. We know that it’s definitely not, right?

Oprah seems to be a favorite for celebrity critics these days. First it was Chris Brow, now it’s Rev. Wright. Remember President Obama’s ex-pastor was interviewed by TMZ and he said that Oprah is merely an entertainer and that she cannot really help people because she doesn’t know anything about social policy. What’s with these people?

Does Chris Brown have a death wish? The way he’s been acting, you’d think so! His recent statements about Oprah’s feature on domestic violence have been spreading like wildfire. So what did he say?

“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could’ve been more helpful, like, ‘Okay, I’m going to help both of these people out.’”

Does he really think that was a smart thing to say?

Together with regular guest Dr. Oz, the talk show queen is suing around 50 companies. The reason? The companies have allegedly been claiming that the pair endorses their products. Acai berry ring a bell?

The talk show queen and her long time partner have adopted a new puppy from PAWS. The lucky mutt is an 8-week old cocker spaniel, with whom Oprah fell in love at first sight.

Don’t we all? Nadya’s dad did go on Oprah, though, and the Octo Mom is not happy at all about that. I suppose that in her mind, since it is her who started all this controversy, it should be her on the set of the most popular talk show on earth. Why don’t we ask Oprah why it wasn’t the mom who was interviewed? In any case, she was interviewed by US Magazine and she had some things to say. Read it here.

It seems that the talk show queen has suffered more than her share of disappointment lately. What with her well-publicized battle with the bulge, she does need anything else to pull her down but the news that the Holocaust story that was recently debunked certainly has her in the dumps. She shared her thoughts and feelings on the “lies” with the media late in the week.

“She has used her voice to defend those who have none.” That’s how the people behind PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, described Oprah Winfrey. Her reach has extended beyond the human race – as PETA’s Person of the Year, she is not the patron saint of animals too!

Ever the perennial yoyo dieter, Oprah has sadly lost the battle with the bulge, tipping the scales at 200 lbs., 40 lbs heavier from her 160 lbs earlier this year.

“I’m embarrassed … I can’t believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I’m still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, ‘How did I let this happen again?’ ”

The media mogul told the Associated Press before the launch of her January issue of O Magazine where she talks openly about her weight problem. Poor Oprah, with a thyroid problem and an compulsive eating disorder, she has confessed that of late, she has felt like “a fat cow”.

Oprah goes to Washington! At least during inauguration week, where she’ll be taping at least 2 episodes of her show. Will the Obamas be guests?

Well, the chances certainly aren’t slim as the O was a firm fixture in President-elect Obama’s campaign trail (who could have missed her all teary-eyed at the victory speech?) and many believe a huge reason why he became popular so quickly.

Gayle King may be Oprah’s BFF, but the editor-at- large of the Oprah mag and organizer of the Legends weekend, denies that the richest woman on television bought her a $7.1 mil penthouse in New York. According to spies, neither Oprah nor her BFF have been seen near the luxe premises. So who’s moving in? The rumour mill turns….

If you’re an animal lover, the up-coming Oprah show, dedicated to her beloved cocker spaniel Sophie, who passed away last month due to kidney failure, should be a real tear-jerker. The show will center on puppy abuse in puppy mills. Oprah calls the show haunting and horrific, saying:

“For anybody anywhere who loves a dog, has ever loved a dog, or just cares about their basic right to humane treatment.”

I still can’t get over the fact that there is a pregnant man (so Arnie’s “Junior” wasn’t that far fetched after all?) but there it, or rather, he, is. In Oprah’s Thursday interview, Thomas Beatie, the pregnant man himself (he’s a transgender male, which explains everything) tells the Queen of Talk that he chose to get pregnant simply because his wife couldn’t have children (wonder why she had the hysterectomy?), and that he was a person who had a right to having a biological child. He went on saying:

“I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn’t define who I am. Ironically, being pregnant doesn’t make me feel any more female or feminine.”
