There’s nothing like watching Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest live on ABC at the comfort of your living room with a bucket of popcorn while secretly envying those who went out to party.
This year’s shindig will be hosted by Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest and Melissa Rycroft from New York City’s Times Square, while Fergie will be hosting live from Las Vegas.
If you weren’t invited to the town’s hottest parties, you can always tell your friends you rocked out with The Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Orianthi, Chris Daughtry and Robin Thicke.
Cheers from Celebrific!

Here’s an early Christmas treat for everyone—a gallery of hot musicians who rocked out at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday and Sunday.
The musical extravaganza catered to all types of fans. R&B/hip-hop lovers grooved to the tunes of Ne-Yo, Flo-Rida, Janet Jackson, and Dizzee Rascal. Boy band hysterics partied like it’s 1999 with Westlife and the Backstreet Boys. The Sugababes, JLS, and Pixie Lott showed off their UK flair with their latest hits. The Noisettes and Metro Station added some rock flavor to the scene.
The event’s showstoppers were the sexy popstars who dressed like it’s the last day of 2009. There was Lady Gaga who proudly made it to Santa’s naughty list, thanks to her “cherry, cherry, boom, boom†bikini. There was teen sensation Miley Cyrus who raised eyebrows with another provocative outfit. The Saturdays opted for skimpier costumes for their performance. Shakira’s hips didn’t lie as she performed “Whenever, Wherever†onstage.
The two-day show was a success, if you count the 16,000 people who attended day two alone. Fans of all ages uploaded their personal accounts of the event on Capital FM’s website.
Lady Gaga was ushered into the venue as Santa’s reindeer. She quickly changed into a red-hot bikini, fishnet stockings, black lace-up boots, and her famous disco stick when she hit the stage for her six-song set. Check out her red-hot outfit here.

Miley Cyrus brought the “Party In The USA†to London wearing her trademark ultra short shorts, open shirt, and revealing bra.

American Idol Jordin Sparks performed her hit “Battlefield.â€

Jade Ewen, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah of the Sugababes

Shakira sported another crazy ’do, but her swinging hips did a good job.

And it’s looking pretty good for her. After that scandal with ex boyfriend Chris Brown, it looks like Rihanna’s luck is a-turnin’. She just released a new album titled “Rated R,” and fans have not hesitated to grab their own copy. As for Chris Brown…he’s still serving his (light) sentence.

I can’t believe it. After all these years, Aerosmith seems to be falling apart – the rest of the band is looking for a new frontman to replace Steven Tyler. Apparently, they are having serious issues and had a falling out recently. I don’t think they can replace him – ever, know what I mean?

In just three hours, 10,000 people grabbed the free passes to the 2009 MTV European Music Awards in Berlin, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. How ironic that the organizers mounted a 12-foot wall at the venue to keep those without tickets from watching the show.
That didn’t stop the musical guests from giving earth-shaking performances. Beyonce Knowles not only bagged the best female artist award and best song award for “Halo,†but also wowed the audience with her racy red outfit as she performed her hit “Sweet Dreams.â€
Wall-to-wall would be an understatement for Katy Perry’s costume changes and hosting skills. From her various red carpet frocks to her glittering stage costumes, Perry’s wardrobe did not disappoint fans that night.
Other highlights included performances by Green Day, Tokio Hotel and Leona Lewis. For a complete list of winners and a gallery of red carpet garbs, visit the official MTV Euro site.

It’s like a Bono humanitarian concert for teens and tweens. We Day is an annual youth empowered rally by Free The Children, an organization that aims to fight child labor. This year, We Day started out in two different venues and dates in Canada—September 29 at Vancouver’s GM Place and October 5 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The third and final set will be on November 5 at the Hamilton Place.
Some 16,000 students and teachers attended the musical event. Guest performers such as The Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Hedley and dancers from So You Think You Can Dance Canada were received with ear-splitting cheers from the crowd.
The event wasn’t just about a cool concert. The kids and teens in attendance were in full support of the organization’s cause—to make tangible actions that make a better world, especially for children. Humanitarians, environmentalists, motivational speakers and politicians were greeted like rockstars at the event.
SOS call: The Jonas Brothers made a surprise appearance.
Justin Bieber performed the acoustic version of his hit “One Time†at We Day.
“We share with our team and we truly believe it’s not about us. It’s about the issues and we share that with all the young people,†said Marc Kielburger, one of the founders of Free The Children. “We’re just happy that the young people feel that it’s really cool to get socially engaged and what we’re fighting most of all is we’re fighting apathy.â€
“Everyday action is our message and people respond to that message because they’re really searching to bring about a positive change in this world,†added co-founder Craig Kielburger.
With the success of the rally, it looks like the kids heard the message loud and clear.

If you haven’t seen his video or listened to his tracks yet, then you must be hiding under a rock. At 15, Justin Bieber is taking Hollywood by storm with “One Time.â€
His story is that of your typical YouTube sensation. Three years ago, the then 12-year-old Canadian joined a local singing competition called Stratford Idol and won second place. He wanted to share his victory with his friends and family who didn’t get to see the show, so he posted his videos on YouTube.
“But it turned out that other people liked them and they started subscribing to them,†said Justin. “That’s how my manager found me. He saw me on YouTube and contacted my family and now I’m signed!â€
It’s not everyday that a 15-year-old gets signed by R&B singer Usher. In October 2008, Justin was torn between signing for Justin Timberlake and Usher. “It turned out Usher’s deal was way better,†Justin revealed. “But I still would like to work on a collaboration with Justin in the future,†he said during a phone-in interview with Ryan Seacrest.

“Things are just happening so fast,†he added. It’s been less than a year since Justin signed to Island Records, and he’s already making the Hollywood rounds. Numerous TV and radio guestings, red carpet appearances, a debut album, a music video, and 535,000+ facebook fans are keeping this lad busy.
His recent stint involves making his “Favorite Girl†happy. Justin hollered at Tricia Matibag, winner of his MTV VMA red carpet shout-out competition. Check out this ultimate fan’s winning video entry:

It’s not officially out yet, but the song has been leaked online. And no, it is not a Broadway tune. You may be surprised (pleasantly, I think), but Susan Boyle’s new song is by The Rolling Stones – Wild Horses. The album is due to be released in November, and is already a huge hit on Amazon.

Yeah, the wife of former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is still alive and kicking – quite energetically, if I may add. She, together with other former Nirvana members, are very upset about the fact that Kurt Cobain’s character in Guitar Hero 5 is unlockable. That means that once the character is unlocked, it can be used for any song in the game. According to Courtney, the agreement was that Cobain would appear in two songs, that’s it. Activision says the exact opposite.

They say that imitation is the best form of flattery, but I wonder, was Alanis Morissette flattered that Britney Spears sang her hit song “You Oughta Know?” The pop star covered the song in a concert in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday night. You can judge her performance for yourself – watch it on YouTube.
