1. Shrek Forever After will premiere on the opening night of New York’s Tribeca Festival, and will be out in cinemas May 21st.

2. It is the first Shrek movie that’s available in 3D.

3. In the story, ogre-turned-family-man Shrek is duped by Rumpelstiltskin into a deal that lands him in a distorted version of Far Far Away kingdom. Shrek tries to save his friends and reclaim the love of his wife, Fiona.

4. This is the fourth and final installment of the successful Dreamworks Animation film series.

5. It features new voices such as actress Megan Fox as The Princess in the Tower, animator Walt Dohrn as Rumpelstiltskin, comedienne Kathy Griffin as Taran, and actress Kristen Schaal as Alice.

Spirit Award nominations are out! Spirit Award nominations are out! Okay maybe you aren’t as excited as I am and to be honest I could give a rat’s left cancer-filled testicle about them, but if you are in the business of trying to predict Oscar nominations, then the Spirit Awards are a good indication.

How G.I. Joe and Jennifer’s Body don’t make this list is beyond me. Those are the only two movies I even cared to see this year and if this organization can’t recognize their brilliance then I am uncertain of the legitimacy of these nominations. It doesn’t matter I guess. I am cheering for Cary Joji Fukunaga because the name is beyond awesome and it’s cool to know that an Asian sounding person directed a Spanish flick. It is similar to when people see me driving. They cheer me on because I have no eyes.

And for some reason my nose covers my belly button. Don’t ask.

John Travolta appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show Wednesday, and expressed his gratitude for the support that his family has been receiving in regard to the death of his son Jett. He also talked about the family movie that they are releasing this month. It was an emotional moment for John, who appeared with his daughter Ella.

The Michael Jackson film This Is It was released on Tuesday night, worldwide, and fans showed their overwhelming support – $2.2 million on opening night alone. Certainly unprecedented, I wouldn’t be surprised if this film breaks even more records in the days to come.

Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift seem to be getting along quite well. The youngsters are starring together in a romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, and have been spending a lot of quality time together. They have not officially announced that they are a couple, but I believe it’s just a matter of time. For what it’s worth, they seem to be a good match!

If there was any doubt left as to Miley Cyrus’ growing up, there should be none left by now. She was recently spotted on the set of Sex and the City 2, apparently filming a scene. She’s only 17 but she seems really comfy around older people. Does this mean we’ll have a whole new set of SATC viewers?

Who doesn’t think the same way? Well, I guess countless teenage fans of his. But Zac says he loves his latest, Me and Orson Welles, and he didn’t have to check his watch once. Now that’s what I call owning your work!

It’s confirmed – Neve Campbell will be returning as the lead star in the fourth installment of horror movie franchise, Scream. She’s going to be filming soon, together with some original cast members such as David Arquette and Courtney Cox. They’re all many years older, let’s see how this one turns out, shall we?

John Travolta, Kelly Preston, and Ella Bleu took the stage as a family at Disney’s D23 Expo last week in a surprise appearance. It hasn’t been a year since their son Jett died in an accident, and the family has not appeared in public since then. Their new movie (all of them are in it) is titled “Old Dogs,” which John loves very much since his “baby is in it.”

For the fourth time. The new installment to the pirates franchise is titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and Disney says it is due in 2011. This is not the only project that Depp is working on. He has Alice in Wonderland and Tonto (Lone Ranger).

Matt Damon has a new movie, but is already talking about something else – a possible 4th installment for the Bourne series. While the original story only had three books, who is to stop Hollywood from creating a fourth one? Matt says that they should be filming within the next year and half or so.

As Jane that is, of course. Like an evil red riding hood.” Yeah, it IS weird, in a flattering kind of way, don’t you think so?

Boys, you’re gonna like this (or not?)! Megan Fox says that she is more comfortable kissing girls – on screen, that is. She is filming Jennifer’s Body, and says that “I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing her in the movie than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss.” She is referring to Amanda Seyfried, who didn’t seem to be as comfortable as Megan was.

Was there really ever any doubt? The Box Office shows proof – all $37.6 million of it. The Nazi movie is Quentin Tarantino’s biggest opening movie ever – beating Kill Bill by a cool 10 million plus.

Boo Boo Stewart, the saga’s newest cast member might have been talking too much. He said that there will be five movies in the saga, but producers say that that statement is a bit premature. A case of over excitement, maybe?

The movie has been quite successful and it seems that some people are looking to cash in on this success. The news is that Marta Kauffman and Warner Bros. Television are planning on bringing the story to television in the form of a series. Marta Kauffman is the person behind the iconic show “Friends.” That should bode well for the potential series, shouldn’t it?

Acclaimed director Peter Jackson has given Hollywood something to be happy about. With his new movie, District 9, leading the Box Office over the weekend, Jackson shows everyone his charm once again. The movie grossed $37 million, with signs pointing to more success in the following weeks.

Looks like Edward Cullen will be immortalized even more – if that is even possible. The Twilight character has been described as having the perfect face, and now, he is literally a doll, a Barbie doll, that is. Collectors, get ready to purchase your Edward doll this November. I am sure it will be one of the more popular gifts for Christmas!

Later this year, Michael Jackson fans will be treated to seeing him on the big screen yet again. A judge ruled on Monday that the movie deal can push through. Columbia Pictures paid $60m for it.
