Robert Downey Jr. relaxes at a basketball game (Lakers vs. Jazz), flashing that smile. Can’t blame him for enjoying the day — his film Iron Man grossed more than $100 million over the weekend.

I can’t help that I find this bit of news not only humourous but also fitting the star.  Jessica Simpson’s newest addition to American cinema, Blonde Ambition, might be headed straight to DVD.  Basically Simpon’s acting couldn’t be any worse.

According to an insider the film is going straight to the movie rental walls & skipping the silver screen altogether.   “It is going straight to DVD domestically. It will only come out in theaters internationally,� the source states.

The only thing I do feel a bit bad about is that hottie Luke Wilson also stars in the film, but serves him right for gaining all that weight anyway.

So, how bad is the movie?  “The movie is absolutely horrible.  It’s just a bomb, mainly because of Jessica’s acting,� replies an insider.

But Jess’ rep doesn’t believe it for a minute, saying, “It’s definitely a theatrical release.â€�

Hmmm, who to believe?  I’m going with the insiders myself.  Sorry Luke!  Lesson to be learned: never star in the same movie with Jessica-Can’t-Act-Simpson.  Stick to that singing, Jess.

With Lindsay Lohan basically in full-time hiding, her newest film I Know Who Killed Me is bombing at the box office.  The film opened in theaters this weekend & barely came in at #9. 

You tell me, was it really all that bad?

The stars of the new movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry showed up in strength for Thursday’s Los Angeles premiere.

Jessica Biel, Adam Sandler & Kevin James all took to the red carpet with ease & humor.  While Jessica usually look amazing to the point of jealousy, the cut on that dress she’s wearing isn’t all that flattering.

But what I really wanna know is, do you think you’re going to like this comedy?  You tell me.

No more wine-filled depressing evenings spent wishing there was more to life that the sixth season of “Sex and the City!” 

TV Guide is reporting that the long wait for a movie is finally a go!  You’re wetting your pants, aren’t you?  We’ve been hearing rumors forever now that a “Sex and the City” movie was just around the corner, but that dueling stars were not going to allow it anytime soon.

Well, it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis & Kim Cattrall have all signed on to do the “Sex” film.  Hooray!

Filming will probably begin sometime in September with a theater release in late 2008 or early 2009.

You can now live a little happier with this news.

That Brad Pitt, he sure can be a super silly guy.  The Ocean’s Thirteen star was spotted doing the running man of all things for some unknown reason on Tuesday.

Pitt was seen at the infamous Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, in Dolce & Gabbana no less, celebrating the L.A. premiere of the latest & hopefully last Ocean’s film.  Why the heck was he doing the damn running man?  He is so very, very white….

Maybe Angelina Jolie finally said yes!

Rarely does the word dude appropriately fit anyone, but I think with actor Matthew McConaughey it’s a golden fit.

McConaughey was spotted barefoot at LAX Tuesday toting around a very large surfboard.  I was kinda hoping that Matt was just high & being ridiculous at the Los Angeles airport, but in actuality ole Matty was filming a scene for his upcoming comedy Surfer Dude.

As the summer of thirds continues, Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End debuted this weekend & earned a whopping $156 million at the box office, despite overall negative reviews.

With Shrek the Third & Spider-Man 3 already making their weekend premieres, which movie is at the top of your third list?

Hottie Johnny Depp was spotted at Disneyland’s world premiere of the latest Pirates movie.

Depp smiled for the cameras as the actor arrived for the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in Anaheim, CA on Saturday.  Gush, Johnny just never looks bad, now does he?

What an interesting weekend it was!  Paris Hilton getting ready for the slammer while the entire cast of Shrek 3 lined up on the red carpet in Los Angeles Sunday for the U.S. premiere.

A newly blonde Cameron Diaz & Mike Meyers hammed it up for the premiere of the ogre-ridden third installment of the animated film.

Cam looked adorable in a pink mini, while Meyers tried to show off those stellar, umm, calves of his.

Mr. Bean, or if you prefer- actor Rowan Atkinson, was spotted in Sydney, Australia Wednesday morning at Bondi Beach in order to promote his new film, Mr. Bean’s Holiday.

Atkinson showed up in Bean’s trademark tweed jacket & red tie as he dipped his white toes into the ocean with the Bondi Beach lifeguards surrounding him. 

Bean arrived by bicycle to the popular beach & was all smiled as he waved to a large group of onlookers before making his way to the beach.  The Englishman had but a few words, as usual, to say about his visit to Australia.

 ”It’s very nice here,” Bean said.

“The weather’s hot, but the water’s very cold.”

As to whether he was enjoying Bondi Beach, Bean revealed, “Oh, I love it. It’s the best Bondi Beach I’ve ever been on … it’s a nice place for a holiday.”

Mr. Bean’s Holiday movie will be released in the U.S. September 28 of this year, however the Aussies get him a bit earlier this year, with the film being released nationally at the end of March.  Poor us, having to wait that long.

Lovely lady Rosario Dawson & sexypants Gerard Butler were spotted getting cozy at Monday’s 300 movie premiere after party at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Butler, who takes on the leading role in the epic film as Spartan King Leonidas, is looking handsome & Rosario, as usual, looks stunning.  Is there anyone else who thinks this duo make an adorable couple?   

 

Sisters & actresses Monica & Penelope Cruz were spotted Tuesday night at the premiere of Monica’s new movie The Inquiry.  The duo graced the Los Angeles red carpet at the Mann Chinese 6 Theaters wearing what seems to be garbage bags.

Yep, they’re the right gray drab color of garbage bags & yes, they seem to be just the right shape of garbage bags, especially the little number that Penelope is sporting.  What was she thinking? 

The Inquiry opens nationwide April 6, let’s just hope that these girls can get their fashion act together before then!

Cutiepie actress Drew Barrymore & prostitute-loving actor Hugh Grant were spotted looking lovely at the London premiere of their new film Music & Lyrics.

Barrymore & Grant walked down the red carpet in London’s Odeon Leicester Square Monday, the apple of everyone’s British eye.  They actually look adorable together, though I wouldn’t wish Hugh Grant on my worst enemy.  Wishing the duo a good review in the UK.

You have to love Will Smith.  You do.  It’s like a like requirement or something.  I mean, come on!  Look at that cheesin’ & easy grin.  He’s just lovable, I tell you, lovable. 

Smith was spotted Thursday arriving at The Pursuit of Happyness world premiere at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California.  Will is looking dashing as always, with that endearing, silly grin.  You just have to love ‘em.  And that gray doesn’t look too bad either….

 

 

Cameron Diaz was spotted at The Holiday’s photocall earlier today in Madrid, Spain.

It looks like Diaz is enjoying her new brunette locks & getting ready for the release of her new film also starring Jude Law.

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, or as you know him - Borat, should never return to the Romanian town of Glod, as he will be much different when he leaves.  Cohen has apparently been warned that if he ever steps even a little pinky toe into the Romanian town which was used as the character Borat’s Kazakhstan home, he will be impaled.

The citizens of Glod are very angry with the comedian in how foolish he made them look in his new (hit) movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.  No one seems to like poor Sacha these days…

Local resident Gheorgie Pascu told The Sun, “We were never told it was a comedy and have been made to look stupid.

“Borat is a son-of-a-bitch who made us look like savages.

“This is Transylvania, home of Dracula. If he ever returns we will stick a stake in his backside and impale him. Then I would cut his b*lls off.”

Wow, those are strong words, Sacha & I have to tell you, I believe them.  All I have to say is that Borat better watch his step, and maybe some other special parts of his body as well.

Next summer Bruce Willis will be tackling the new “Die Hard” series with the fourth installment, Live Free or Die Hard.  And that might just be what happens to Bruce, as I don’t think he can last long on this body-beating action movie. 

51-year-old Willis will be taking on the part of John McClane one again as he goes up against a sect of cyber-terrorists led by actor Timothy Olyphant. 

Filming for the movie has just begun and it looks like Willis is still in one piece, as of right now.  The veteran action film actor stated, “It’s going really well.”

Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing the part of Bruce’s daughter in the movie and the word is that she’s enjoying the shooting so far.

“I’m not too roughed up yet. We’ve done more kinda just fighting with Bruce. We have kinda have a strained relationship so it’s been more of the relationship stuff.”

It’s been a while since the first movie in the “Die Hard” series hit the big screen in 1988 & Bruce isn’t one to ignore his age. 

“It was a little easier twenty years ago.”

When asked how we could find him on the set, Willis joked, saying, “Just look for the blood. Follow the blood trail. And at the end you’ll see me on my knees crying.”

Hang in there Bruce, we’re all rooting for you &  crossing our fingers that you don’t come apart.
