Now 70 yrs old, Ryan O’Neal, announces his battle with prostate cancer. The actor has had a bit of a media confusion regarding the prognosis of his illness, with news saying the actor was previously diagnosed with stage 4, but O’Neal has officially released a statement regarding his condition.
At stage 2, O’Neal says his cancer is well under control although , “ I was shocked and stunned by the news, I feel fortunate that it was detected early and according to my extraordinary team of doctors the prognosis is positive for a full recovery, “ — “ I wasn’t prepared for it. Losing his long time partner in life Farrah Fawcett to anal cancer in 2009, Ryan says it was the memory of Farrah that kept him positive. Farrah was his inspiration as she taught him how to fight the good fight.
Farrah was 62 at the time of her demise. Ryan and Farrah have a son together, Redmon , 27. He also has a son with ex wife Leigh Taylor Young and 2 children from his first wife Joanna Cook Moore – one of whom was married to John McEnroe for a few years, whom we all know as the lil rebel vixen Tatum O’Neal.

Celebrities are perfect. They have no flaws. They are always at their best, even upon waking up.
Stupid as those statements may sound, they do come up in the minds of Jane and Joe Average, if only because of what is portrayed by the media. Now and then, we do come upon pieces showing just how human celebrities are. Humans like you and me.
This is not to downplay the health condition of any celebrity in this list. Neither is it to make fun of them, but if you feel a slight sense of schadenfreude, no one will make any judgements for sure. So here are some celebrities with health conditions, if it makes you feel any better that they are human after all.

Fame and/or fortune may either be one of the three wishes you’d ask a genie from the magic lamp. Beauty and/or talent could be on there too. But it’s just amazing and sometimes downright unfair how some people in this earth can just have all of them and yet life still manages to throw a mean curve ball! Catherine Zeta-Jones, has always been that celebrity who shines with it all! The 41 yr old Welsh actress seemed to be unstoppable in her career, unfading with her beauty, blessed with a solid marriage to Michael Douglas and just last year… the man in her life was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer.
Zeta-Jones has gracefully carried on over the past year helping her husband battle with his health. He is now tumour free. However, she was reported to have recently checked into an unnamed mental health facility to get help for bipolar II. Her representative states the actress spent five days getting help for this disorder which may have stemmed from the stress she had to go through last year. The woman powered through difficult times, with her stepson Cameron sentenced to 5 years in prison on drug charges along with a bitter court case with Michael’s ex-wife who wanted Douglas’ earnings from the sequel of Wall Street.
Many people suffer from bipolar disorder, and often times aren’t even aware of it. Bipolar II manifests itself through irritation and mildly elevated moods called hypomania. Stress is a trigger factor but hereditary predisposition is most often to blame. It is a long-term illness that will require psychotherapy and medication to help people manage stress and overcome the highs and lows.
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ courageous decision to come forward to the public about her illness serves as an inspiration for many of those who quietly and hesitantly suspect their affliction to come forward and seek treatment.

It’s not that serious, but serious enough for The Hoff’s 17-year-old daughter to call her mom Pamela. She told her mom that daddy was drinking way too much and one of Pam’s friends called 911. David Hasselhoff was then taken to the hospital. He was supposed to be released Sunday night, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Good parenting model, huh?
