Duhamel rose to fame playing Leo du Pres in this long-running daytime soap. He even won an Emmy in 2002 for his con artist character.  His love interest in the show , Greenlee , who is played by Rebecca Budig, is also back on the set after leaving the program a few time since Josh Duhamel left the show in 2003.

True enough, the cameo appearance of Leo will be one of the highlights of this season ender as we may also expect  another on-screen affair between du Pres and Greenlee.

Apparently, Josh Duhamel isn’t the only actor doing a comeback to his soap beginnings before their beloved series takes the axe. Julian Moore, who starred in As the World Turns many moons ago, also returned to the show last year just prior to the soap leaving the airwaves. On January 2012, ABC will see One Life to Live bowing out of the tubes.  We may just as well see many big screen stars doing their own returns to this soap before it finally sees its last episode on air. These could include, Ryan Phillipe and Tommy Lee Jones.

It’s like a Bono humanitarian concert for teens and tweens. We Day is an annual youth empowered rally by Free The Children, an organization that aims to fight child labor. This year, We Day started out in two different venues and dates in Canada—September 29 at Vancouver’s GM Place and October 5 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The third and final set will be on November 5 at the Hamilton Place.

Some 16,000 students and teachers attended the musical event. Guest performers such as The Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Hedley and dancers from So You Think You Can Dance Canada were received with ear-splitting cheers from the crowd.

The event wasn’t just about a cool concert. The kids and teens in attendance were in full support of the organization’s cause—to make tangible actions that make a better world, especially for children. Humanitarians, environmentalists, motivational speakers and politicians were greeted like rockstars at the event.

Justin Bieber performed the acoustic version of his hit “One Time” at We Day.

“We share with our team and we truly believe it’s not about us. It’s about the issues and we share that with all the young people,” said Marc Kielburger, one of the founders of Free The Children. “We’re just happy that the young people feel that it’s really cool to get socially engaged and what we’re fighting most of all is we’re fighting apathy.”

“Everyday action is our message and people respond to that message because they’re really searching to bring about a positive change in this world,” added co-founder Craig Kielburger.

With the success of the rally, it looks like the kids heard the message loud and clear.

The American Badass is back, for a really good cause. Kid Rock is going to headline the charity concert "Music Has Power," which is meant to benefit the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function in NYC on Sept. 2. This is a rare appearance for the whole band - all the more reason to go watch!

She might have been the target of some critics lately but she is still doing stints here and there. This time, Miley Cyrus is reported to have taped a performance for the hit show American Idol. I think I shall watch that episode on the 15th of this month.

In several days, we will have a new president and guess who has the honors of singing as the first couple dances their first dance? Lucky Beyonce Knowles. On the other hand, it is not everyday that you get to have her sing for you as you dance, either right?

“Umbrella” girl Rihanna is set to perform at a charity ball for the Feeding America and the Recording Industry Association of America on inauguration day. As big as this might be for Rihanna, she will not be the sole star in Washington, DC at this time as countless Hollywood A-listers are already set to attend President-elect Obama’s inauguration.

American Idol judge Randy Jackson exchanges knuckle knocks with Miley Cyrus at the taping of his show, Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew.

What would Randy say of Hannah Montana’s moves if she were on American idol? Not that the teen star needs any more compliments — her sold out concerns are “screaming proof” that she’s an American Idol.

Danny showed up for the taping of The View after being up all night with sexypants pal George Clooney.  The appearance was suppose to be promoting his new movie Deck the Halls, that also stars Matthew Broderick, but Danny really promoted that fact that he can actually be funny- while he’s drunk, that is.  

Ha!  Can’t you see it now?  George asking Danny if he’s sure that he doesn’t want to cancel the guest appearance, “Danny, no, seriously, but the fake mustache down.  Are you sure that you don’t want to cancel the show?  I mean, look at you- you haven’t had any sleep, you are out of your mind loopy & you’re going to have to face those crispy women this way.  Just think about it, buddy.  Are you sure that’s what you want to do right now?”

To which I’m sure Danny replied in kind, “Cheorlge, liysten, buddy.  I cayn handle those womeyn, truystt me, okay?”

During the show DeVito shared he & his wife’s (Rhea Pearlman) sexual lovefest while staying in the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House.  The intoxicated actor, due to being prompted by the ladies, shared a babbling explanation of his new movie Deck the Halls, but the real fun started when Rosie O’Donnell took Danny into her lap & coddled him like a baby, asking him to read the teleprompter as the show went to commercial.  Ha!

You know, there should be more Views like this one, I’m thinking a week centering around drunk celebs.  What do you think?

He’s back!

I think we’ll all be happier now that Ben Roethlisberger has gotten rid of his good-luck charm.  No, not a rabbit’s foot or socks never washed- say farewell to the old, scraggly bearded face and say hello to the Ben we’ve all missed since last October.

While appearing on the Late Show last night, the Pittsburgh quarterback gave his face over to David Letterman and Gillette and has come back to us now clean-shaven.  He had been growing the lumberjack look since last October, when the Steelers lost to Cincinnati.

“I was so mad that we lost the game,” Roethlisberger told Letterman.  “I kind of went into a depression and didn’t shave and we ended up winning the next game.  And I am kind of superstitious just a little bit to people who know me, but we won that game and I said I am just going to keep it going until we lose and we kept it going.”

Ben went on to say, “I don’t really like the beard you know.  But we were winning so I had to keep it going.”

Letterman chimed in saying, “Really?  Honestly, I think it looks like a millions bucks!”

Roethlisberger, 23, became the youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl when the Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 Sunday night.
