I say that it is a reflection of Heidi Klum’s priorities. Yup, people, not all women are after those hot, hunky guys. Although that factor always helps as long as the guy isn’t an a-hole.

Sad to say, this seemingly fairy tale marriage has truly come to an end. Over the weekend, the grapevine was ablaze about the split up of the couple, with TMZ even saying that the divorce will be filed within this week. While we do not know about that with certainty, we definitely know that the couple are going their separate ways, thanks to a joint official statement released by the couple. Err, the former couple.

Snippets of the joint statement make it clear that this story has come to an end:

While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.

A very nicely written statement, yes, but we can only make assumptions about what really happened. Fans of the ex-couple are probably heartbroken to have to bear witness to this breakup, but hey, it’s life. And it’s Hollywood. Next!

Hollywood marriages seem to get on a pretty short trend these days. This makes you wonder how much thought these celebrities put into the word commitment as after all the wedding glitz … the evident divorce circus ring with their lawyers and the media certainly looks like a normal day on the set of their reel lives.
After merely 18 days of marriage, Sinead O’ Connor pulls the plug on her marriage to Barry Herridge. The singer who turned 45 this month, got hitched on the same day after her public manhunt for love and a lover.
Expressing her sentiments for her change of heart, O’Connor pleads guilty to rushing into the marriage and feels that her husband is much too nice to be trapped and married to a woman who wanted to smoke up on a wee blunt on their wedding night. Apparently, that little wild antic came as a shock and hurt the groom. At the same time,the singer confesses that the attitude of people in her husband’s life also had much bearing on her decision to set him free .
In spite of a painful ending, O’Connor still professes her love to 38 yr old Barry Herridge but feels he has so much to lose if they stayed together.

72! Yep, that’s the magic number. 72 days is all it boiled down to after all the hype and media circus we all got subjected to months before the actual wedding day of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Barely two and a half months down the road of their big fat wedding, Kim has confirmed that she is indeed, filing for divorce. Whispers have been ringing around that Kim and Kris were having issues with money , career and having babies. Let alone changing Kim’s last name to Mrs. Humphries was also on the debate table in the midst of the engagement and wedding preparations. Being at the peak of her career , her growing retail business, and effortlessly just being one of the hottest chics that have ever graced the screens … any guy would pretty much have a hard time keeping up with this Kardashian. Kim is filing divorce under irreconcilable differences. Really??? Nawh.

You would think that after 10million dollars, 450 guests and three Vera Wang weddng gowns, the couple would have made sure they sat down and pondered on this whole shebang of married life. But nah, they were too busy having their moments filmed and cashed in on almost every angle.
However much a sad fact for any marriage to go down the drain , it’s even sadder that their love story …if there ever was any true love … all that should’ve mattered turned into glitter dust and reduced to a statistic written down in media history as one of those short lived celebrity marriages we all get to shake our gossiping heads about.
If there was any good thing to come out of this marriage, they sure both got a nice fat pay check from the word go of their engagement . Of course, all that doesn’t really matter, right? This is all about a real love story … but with a chunky price tag.

The “Sexiest Man Alive” is apparently still hurting over his divorce from his 2-year marriage to now ex-wife Scarlett Johannson.  Ryan Reynolds says he still needs time to heal to this day after their divorce last December.

In an interview, the 34 year old actor, who we want to see in funny T-shirts admits he’s still not out of the mud yet but holds a lot of optimism for the future.  Although he seems to be going through a lot of pain, just like anyone who goes through a divorce. Reynolds say, eventually  you come out of it.

The Green Lantern actor muses that he may no longer want to get married again. Speaking on his emotional stand at this point, Reynolds says he is now a different person than he was six months ago. He has been spotted getting friendly with German model Agnes Fischer while filming his new movie Safe House in South Africa. When asked about this, he quickly quips that he is very happy not be in a relationship right now and finds dating to be somewhat of an alien thing to him at this point in his life.

In spite of his refusal to discuss any specific matters regarding his Scarlett Johansson, he proudly speaks of  how they managed to end their marriage and still maintain the idea that she is still the same person he married.

Still the reigning “Sexiest Man Alive” , Ryan Reynolds is concentrating on his current project “Safe House” where he prouds himself with death defying stunts and intense emotional scenes.

Both filed their divorce papers on Wednesday in Los Angeles. This would be the seventh divorce for the 76-year-old TV host. Larry and his estranged wife have reportedly officially separated April 13, and both are seeking shared custody of their two sons, Cannon, 9, and Chance, 11. Shawn, 50, a singer and infomercial host, prefers sole custody of their kids with visitation rights for Larry, plus spousal support. Larry King’s spokesperson Howard Rubenstein told People, “His major concern is the welfare of his children, and beyond that he’s not going to comment about the divorce.”

Melissa and Tammy Etheridge

After almost nine years of marriage, Melissa and Tammy Etheridge are separating. Melissa, 48, has two children, Bailey, 13, and Beckett, 11, with her former partner Julie Cypher. They were conceived via artificial insemination courtesy of friend and rock legend David Crosby. Tammy (formerly Tammy Lynn Michaels), 35, bore two children—son Miller and daughter Johnnie Rose in 2006, soon after Melissa recovered from breast cancer.

Amidst rumors swirling about their unhappy home life, Brad Pitt steps out earlier in the day on January 6, 2010 in New York with partner Angelina Jolie before taking out the upset looking A-list actress for a romantic dinner away from their pack of children.

According to Daily Mail, “the news comes after months of speculation that the couple—who are not married—were drifting apart.” If you believe the unofficial reports, Brad and Angelina have already signed legal papers that will let them equally share their wealth, as well as custody of their children.

They fell in love with each other when they played a couple in Mr. and Mrs. Smith back in 2004 while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. As soon as Brad and Jen’s divorce was finalized, he and Angelina began building a family, thus earning the couple the nickname Brangelina. They have three adopted kids (Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, and Zahara, 5), and three biological kids (Shiloh, 3, and twins Knox and Vivienne, both 17 months old).

Citing irreconcilable differences, she filed for divorce last summer and in usual Hollywood fashion, things are turning for the worse. She recently won a restraining order against him because of alleged violent acts.

Kneeland said in an interview, “he grabbed me, bruised me, pushed me, made threats of more violence, [and] left messages saying he would hire people to come and beat me with chains and bats.” She also claimed that Furlong abuses illegal drugs such as cocaine.

Furlong’s representative, R.J. Rousso, recently told People that the allegations are false. “Mr. Furlong vehemently denies all allegations that have been made and is currently working with his legal team to have this temporary restraining order extinguished,” Rousso said. “Unfortunately, the two parties are going through a very contentious divorce and custody battle. Eddie’s main concern is his son, Ethan, and moving forward with his life.”

As for the drug accusations, Rousso rebuts, “Eddie has been sober for more than five years and is preparing to begin production on a new film.” He began shooting the adaptation of The Green Hornet last weekend with fellow actors Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, Tom Wilkinson and Christoph Waltz.

On September 25, the Superior Court has ordered Furlong to stay 100 yards away from Kneeland. The 32-year-old actor was also stripped of visitation rights for his 3-year-old son. Furlong is fighting to have the temporary order revoked.

This isn’t Furlong’s first relationship that ended in court. In 1998, his former girlfriend-manager Jacqueline Louise Domac, 14 years his senior, sued him for abuse and breach of contract.

We wonder what Judgment Day has in store for Furlong this time around.

And he was not slow to respond either. While Robyn’s papers did not specify a date for their separation, Mel’s papers indicated August 26, 2006. It has been 3 years almost…I guess they really have had it with each other.

We know her better as Catherine Willows in CSI, and as things turn out, she is in reality filing for divorce from her husband since 1989, SAG president Alan Rosenberg. The reason? The usual irreconcilable differences.
