Anna Nicole Smith Found Dead at Hotel Thursday

Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith was found dead Thursday after collapsing in her hotel.  The 39-year-old blonde centerfold collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and she was later rushed to a hospital.
The chief investigator for Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office said the cause of death was still under investigation & than at autopsy would be done Friday.
It’s a tragic death for Anna Nicole’s family, after her 20-year-old son Daniel suddenly died last year in the Bahamas just days after she gave birth to her daughter Dannielynn. Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger revealed that a private nurse had called 911 after they found Smith collapsed in her sixth floor hotel room. Smith’s bodyguard apparently performed CPR, but Anna was declared dead at the hospital.
Rumors suspect the recent 69 pounds that Anna Nicole lost when she became a spokesperson for TrimSpa weight loss supplement. Smith former attorney Lenard Leeds said that Smith ”always had problems with her weight going up and down, and there’s no question she used alcohol.” Leeds went on to say that it was no secret that ”she had a very troubled life” as well as “so many, many problems.”
“She wanted to be like Marilyn her whole life and ironically died in a similar manner,” Leeds added.
Anna Nicole’s present lawyer Ron Rale told The Associated Press that he had spoken with Smith earlier this week where she complained of flu-like symptoms as well as a fever and was still grieving over her son.
“Poor Anna Nicole,” Rale stated.
“She’s been the underdog. She’s been besieged … and she’s been trying her best and nobody should have to endure what she’s endured.”
In a statement to the press, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said, “I am very saddened to learn about Anna Nicole’s passing. She was a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family and to me personally.”
Well, this all comes as quite a surprise. What do we think? Suicide? Did somewhat husband Howard K Stern kill Anna Nicole? Did someone murder her son Daniel? Who stands to inherit Smith’s cash?

Breaking News: Anna Nicole Smith Dead
Anna Nicole Smith's lover & somewhat husband Howard K Stern has denied allegations that are circling around that he may have given her son Daniel drugs before his mysterious death.
20-year-old Daniel Smith died September 10, 2006 while visiting Anna Nicole in the Bahamas, soon after the birth of her daughter Dannielynn.
Stern states, "I would never hurt Daniel in any way and to implicate me on that, that's just despicable, absolutely despicable."
Daniel's autopsy revealed that he had taken methadone shortly before his death & may have been a contributing factor to his fatal heart attack.
Howard K Stern as well as Anna Nicole Smith are required to testify at the coroner's inquest in March.

Britney Spears Returns Home After Family Death

Once pop princess Britney Spears was spotted Thursday afternoon returning to Los Angeles with her two children, Sean Preston & Jayden James, after a death in the family.
Spears left Sunday on a private jet with her two sons bound for her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana when she learned that her 59-year-old aunt Sandra Bridges Covington had succumbed to breast cancer.  Covington was Spears' mother, Lynne's, sister. The funeral took place Tuesday in Amite, LA at 11:30am.Â
According to Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, Brit is back & is already starting to work again on that new album of hers.Â
"She's back and working," Rudolph stated.
We send out love to the Spears' family during this time, especially with a new Britney album on the way.

Angelina Jolie’s Mother Marcheline Bertrand Died Saturday

I'm sorry to be posting more than one item concerning deaths this morning, but it just can't be helped.
Angelina Jolie's actress mother, Marcheline Bertrand, succumbed to cancer Sunday afternoon at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Bertrand had been battling cancer for some time & was 56-years-old when she died.Â
From a family statement read after Bertrand's death, 31-year-old Angelina, her beau Brad Pitt & Angelina's brother James Haven were all at the hospital when Marcheline passed away.
"Angelina came to visit her two weekends ago and spent the afternoon with her in her room," an insider revealed.
The former actress raised Jolie & Haven as a single mother after she & her husband Jon Voight divorced in 1978. Bertrand appeared in the movies Lookin' to Get Out & The Man Who Loved Women .
A private funeral is being planned & in place of sending flowers, the family of Bertrand is asking that donations instead be made to the Women's Cancer Research Institute at Cedars Sinai.
Our thoughts are with the family during this time.

Aaron Spelling Dies at 83

Producer & Hollywood legend Aaron Spelling died last Friday in Los Angeles due to complications from the stroke he suffered June 18. Daughter Tori Spelling had just made amends with her father before he passed away.
Over the course of his mighty career, Aaron Spelling produced over 200 TV shows, including Starsky and Hutch, Charlie’s Angels, The Love Boat, Vegas, Hart to Hart, Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, Fantasy Island, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Charmed & 7th Heaven. Spelling also produced more than 140 television made-for-TV movies.
Tori Spelling was relieved to have made peace with her father before he died as well as being able to introduce her second husband to her dad for the first time.Â

She explains, “I’m grateful I recently had the opportunity to reconcile with my father and most grateful we had the chance to tell each other we loved one another before he passed away.
“It’s a true blessing to have had a parent that loved me unconditionally.
“He had a heart as big as his talent and today, along with many others, I mourn his loss. He was a great man and an even better father.”

E. Pierce Marshall Dies, Anna Nicole Smith Wins?

I know this is a little bit late, but better now than never, right? Apparently E. Pierce Marshall who was in a fierce legal battle with Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith died last Tuesday unexpectedly.

The 67-year-old business man died in the Dallas area after a “brief and extremely aggressive infection.” I wonder, was the extremely aggressive infection named Anna Nicole Smith?
E. Pierce Marshall & Anna Nicole Smith were in a long legal battle after Marshall’s father & Smith’s husband, J. Howard Marshall died in 1995. Smith married the 89-year-old oil tycoon in 1994 when the then topless dancer was 26.
J. Howard Marshall was at the time one of the wealthiest men in Texas, worth more than $1.6 billion. Smith claimed that her husband promised her half of his estate, while his son E. Pierce stated that the more than $6 million in gifts she received from J. Howard was all that his father intended to leave her.Â
In May, Anna Nicole won her chance to collect millions when the US Supreme Court Justices overturned a US appeals court ruling that stated the widow was entitled to nothing.Â
So, what does this mean for Anna Nicole now? Does she win by default? Did she hire an infection to kill her legal combatant? I’m sure there will be more to follow & I will be there to fill you in on all the greasy details.

Despite Rotten Reputation Robin Williams a Sweetheart

Oscar-winner and funnyman Robin Williams is making good on a promise. Williams insists he will care for the orphaned son of Christopher & Dana Reeve, after the teenager’s mother died of lung cancer last week.
Williams & Superman Christopher Reeve, who died October 2004) were always close, after having studied together at the Julliard school of drama in New York City. After Reeve suffered from the riding accident in 1995 which left him paralyzed from the neck down, the One Hour Photo star was quick to assure the family that he would never desert them, or make dessert out of them. He is standing by his vow and is up for caring for 13-year-old Will.Â
A relative of Dana Reeve said, “He has already been making good on a promise he made to Chris in 1995. They were closer than brothers and Robin swore then and there that he would look after Dana and Will after Chris was gone. Both of them knew Chris might not last long but neither of them could possibly have imagined the tragedy that would befall Dana so soon after Chris’ own death.”
Dana Reeve died March 6th of lung cancer despite being a non-smoker, she was diagnosed in August of last year. She was respected and admired world-wide for her dedicated research on stem cells & paralysis as well as supporting and standing beside her husband after his riding accident that occurred after only three years of marriage.
In his autobiography, Still Me, Christopher Reeve wrote that he suggested early on to his wife, “Maybe we should let me go.†She responded, “I’ll be with you for the long haul, no matter what. You’re still you and I love you.â€
Those were “the words that saved my life,†Christopher Reeve said.
That is really beautiful, I have to say.Â

‘The Jeffersons’ Franklin Cover is Truly Moving on Up

Franklin Cover (November 20, 1928 – February 5, 2006), who became a familiar face as George & Louise Jefferson’s white neighbor in The Jeffersons, died of pneumonia Sunday. He was 77.Â
Cover was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1928. He began his career on stage in productions of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” & “Henry IV“, and later in many Broadway plays. He made his television debut on Naked City & later appeared on The Jackie Gleason Show.
He was best known, however, for his role as Tom Willis in the long-running sitcom The Jeffersons. His character was one half of one of the first interracial marriages to be seen in primetime television. The show ran from 1975 to 1985.
Following the end of The Jeffersons, Cover continued to make guest apperances on television shows and played a supportive role in the 1987 movie Wall Street. His final appearance was in an episode of Will & Grace in 1999.
He is survived by his wife Mary, and a son & daughter.
