After days of snarky Hollywood gossip - of spitting, suing, unhealthy obsessions with horses etcetera, its nice to see a bit of wholesome family bonding, especially in the form of Nicole Ritchie, who, since becoming a Mom, has straightened up and become less of a shall, we say…Paris?

Anyway, Nicole was at the ASCAP awards supporting Dad, who received the lifetime achievement (is he that old?). Also there was Nicole’s baby sister, 8-year-old Sofia, Lionel’s wife with Diane Alexander.

In a recent interview in the British media, Gwyneth denied allegations that her marriage with Coldplay rocker, Chris Martin was in trouble. Rumors of separation were “ridiculous” the Gwyneth insisted, she went on gushing that being a wife and Mother is her greatest joy, has made her stop searching, ended her loneliness and made her whole. Awww.

So why couldn’t she reveal the wherabouts of her husband (the reason why those rumors erupted)? “We just don’t want to be one of those couples…..It evolved that way” Yeah. whatever.

On a better note, Gwyneth was last seen in New York, attending to the Mexican birthday bash of 2-year-old Moses. And where was Dad? London of course….

You can say what you like about Tom Cruise - his nutty sofa antics, strange marriage, fervent beliefs etc, but when it comes to parenting, all evidence points to the fact that Tom has been doing a pretty decent job as a parent.  And its not just to mini-paparazzi darling Suri. Don’t forget that Tom has two adopted kids with ex Nicole Kidman, Connor and Isabella, now entering their teens.

Nick, on the other hand, has been getting the bad rap when it comes to parenting, with numerous reports saying things like Nicole has a “strained” relationship with her kids, doesn’t spend enough time with the, and worst, they don’t even call her “Mum”.

Brit may have bigger custody problems ahead. The Family Services Department has requested the court documents for its own investigations on alleged “multiple child abuse and neglect referrals.” The case was filed by Britney’s former bodyguard, who reported drug use and other “questionable parenting.”

Lawyers and the government breathing down her neck… aaah, Britney, what have you gotten yourself into?

What’s better than a new celebrity baby? Two of them! Dennis and Kimberly Quaid welcome their twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace. (Ah, how refreshing—stars who choose normal names for their kids!)

Thomas Boone was born first, at 8:26 am. His sister made her grand entrance two minutes later.

The Quaids chose a gestational carrier—meaning, they used their own sperm and egg, but asked someone else to carry the babies to term. Well, that’s one way of avoiding stretchmarks.

The end is finally here- no, Michael Jackson has not been banned from having or being near children, the legal battle between Jackson & ex-wife Debbie Rowe has come to a close, and MJ is paying up.

Debbie Rowe gave up visitation rights in 2001 to her children with Michael Jackson, 9-year-old Prince Michael & 8-year-old Paris.  But three years ago Rowe decided she wanted that right back & put up a fight.  Now the custody battle is finally over and it looks like the winner is Jackson.

Michael, who has been living in Bahrain since 2005, will be paying Rowe $750,000 a year to give up her rights to their children completely.  A source close to Rowe stated, “It was hard for Debbie, but she’s broke.”

MJ’s lawyer Michael Abrams said, “Michael is satisfied with the results, and I believe Ms. Rowe is satisfied.”

How strange to have Michael Jackson as your father, let alone your husband.  I just can’t imagine that.  Poor kids, may they find some sanity later in their lives.  What do you think- would you rather have been brought up by a wealthy MJ who can provide you a cushy life or would you rather have been raised by sinister hyenas in the bush?  I’m thinking the safer bet is on the hyenas.

Well, it looks like the adopting newborn twins rumor is on hold, as new reports are surfacing that Angelina Jolie & partner Brad Pitt may be adopting an older male child this week.

To add to their vast array of children, this older child will more than likely be from an impoverished nation & come already named.  The couple have two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and a biological baby daughter, Shiloh Nouvel, born in Namibia last month.

A source told Us Weekly that the Hollywood duo plan to “adopt an (older) child to support the idea that people should adopt more children, not just babies.”

Maybe if I wear a dirty sheet with a big, shy smile & post all my mail from India, the Jolie-Pitt’s will adopt me.  Older female child up for adoption, parental units must be willing to travel….
