The 34-year-old Scrubs actor is alive and well, thank you very much. A prankster created a fake internet report page saying that he has committed suicide. The phony CNN page circulated all over Twitter, alleging that he has been found dead next to an empty pill bottle.

Yesterday, the actor denied the rumors by posting this message on his official Facebook page:

[Sic] “Hi. I’m very much alive. Total internet rumor. Amazing how fast one douche can spread a lie. Be careful out there on the internets friends. Please spread the word… Video of me holding todays paper to follow… Love, zb”

Two hours later he posted the promised video, explaining: “I’m alive. I’m here at Scrubs shooting the new Scrubs title sequence, which is a little bit like dying so I guess that was semi-accurate. Also, I would never off myself with pills. If I had to do it, I would do it the way that everyone else would do it—by hitting myself with pots and pans.”

He also sent this shout-out to the anonymous person who started the rumor: “I just want to say to the douche bag who started this: You win my first every douche of the day award for making my mum upset.”
