Rihanna Plays the Russian Roulette

It’s about time. Rihanna is back with a new single under Island Def Jam Records. “Russian Roulette” is a dark ballad that fans interpret as referential to her emotional relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. He is still under a court order that requires him to stay away from his former girlfriend after assaulting her on the eve of the Grammy Awards.

The single is part of her upcoming album Rated R. Both the album and music video will be available in November.

And what a coincidence. Rihanna’s new single was released last Tuesday, the same day Chris Brown announced the dates of his fan appreciation tour and launched his new single.

Although “Russian Roulette” isn’t as impressive as her previous R&B hits, the single’s edgy graphics are worthy of your attention. It features a bolder Rihanna wrapped in a nude corset and barbed wires. Polish it off with her initials made of blade and a blood-dripping title, and you’re looking at the new princess of bondage fashion.

There’s nothing like heartache to make a good girl go bad.

Rihanna attended the Jean-Paul Gaultier Pret a Porter show wearing a daring cutout number. Accompanying her at the fashion shows is stylist Mariel Haenn.

She also managed to keep her hands warm in a jewel-encrusted Chanel muff in the French designer’s show.

Dita Von Teese arrived at the Christian Dior show in her signature old Hollywood glam look.

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer went for military chic at the Chanel Pret a Porter show.

It’s in the jeans. Gwyneth Paltrow kept it casual at the Stella McCartney show in Palais De Tokyo.

Katy Perry went hot for sequins at the Sonia Rykiel show. To the surprise of her fans, she ditched her usual colorful retro wardrobe and went for a darker look.
