Two Less Pussycats

Two members of the Pussycat Dolls have left the group and nobody in the entire universe is surprised.

Every the since the girls went from burlesque group to pop franchise in 2003, it was all about Nicole Scherzinger. I love the gal; she’s hot, but I feel sorry for the other girls who served as mere backup dancers and backup vocals. Can you even name the remaining four members other than Nicole? I didn’t think so.

We’ve seen PCD members come and go through the years, and we all know how Ms. Nicole gets preferential treatment, and, not to mention, a heftier paycheck compared to the other dolls.

Now, two of the Pussycat Dolls have had enough. Kim Wyatt and Ashley Roberts have announced that they’re quitting the group. Ashley wrote on her blog: “Yes I have left the Pussycat Dolls. I am so grateful to have the love and support of all of you. It was an amazing ride and I learned so much.”

As for Kim, she told Loaded magazine: “I’ve left the group. I am so thankful for everything the Pussycat Dolls has brought into my life. But I have to say there were just too many variables that I couldn’t agree with. So I decided to push on with my own life.”

Of course they’re trying to act as professional as possible, but we all know the rifts that go on off-stage. Kim said it best: “I wish that it was different because I love what we do on stage. I love being a Doll, but as far as the variables off-stage are concerned, I just couldn’t do it anymore.”

The group is reportedly reforming sometime this year, but I believe it’s going to be the same story: Nicole in front; four cats at the background. Meow.

Nicole Scherzinger and those other girls

On one hand you have to feel sorry for all the girls in the group not named Nicole, but then you remember they are making bank anyways so really who cares about them gaining any identity? Nicole carries the group with her vocals and without those these are just strippers with voices that autotunes probably couldn't fix.

Shut up and dance I say.

Due to my contractual agreements I actually have to say more than that which kind of sucks because I mean this entry is about the Pussycat Dolls. Are they burlesque dancers? A Vegas show? A music group? Puppets? I am going to go with puppets on this one.

Okay, I know you were wondering what the other group members' names were so here ya go: Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt. Sorry, I can't point out who is who and really you don't care because your eyes are too busy undressing Nicole. That makes you a sick person. Just because she has perfect skin, great curves and the hair of a goddess doesn't give you the right to look at her as a sex queen.

She is great in bed though. I'm not saying that from personal experience, I am just saying that. I say the sun rises in the East and although I haven't experienced it, it doesn't make it any less true. You see how I did that? Good, because I just did that.

Have the Pussycat Dolls Finally Split?

Itâ€™s a rumor that pesters bands and music groups throughout their careers. For the Pussycat Dolls, we hear about it every month or so. After all, a split seems inevitable.

Does anybody know the full names of the dolls other than front woman Nicole Scherzinger? Nope, I didnâ€™t think so. When listening to PCD songs or watching their music videos, do you hear any voice or see any face that stands out other than Nicoleâ€™s? My thoughts exactly.

According to Page Six of the New York Post, the five girls are no longer in speaking terms with each other. One of the members, Kimberly Wyatt, revealed that she hasnâ€™t heard from Nicole in months. While there are talks that the group has broken up for good, PCDâ€™s label Interscope insists that they are just â€œon a break.â€ They didnâ€™t exactly clarify anything.

This isnâ€™t the first problem that the girls have gotten into. In 2007, the group launched Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll to look for the seventh member of PCD. Winner Asia Nitollano decided to pursue a solo career instead of joining the dolls. In 2008, original PCD member Carmit Bachar left the group to pursue her own path. Then for the past few years, tension among members have continued as the limelight focuses on Nicole.

Almost famous: Asia Nitollano won the reality show Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll in 2007, but rejected the prize to join PCD. Has her solo career taken off? Asia who?
