Battered Housewives

Actress Nicollette Sheridan, whose character Edie was killed off the show Desperate Housewives last year, is suing director Marc Cherry for $20 million, alleging assault and battery, gender violence, and wrongful termination.

She claims that Marc was “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show.” She cited one incident in 2008 where he took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head after she questioned him about something in the script.

According to the lawsuit, Marc would direct his abuse at other cast members, including Teri Hatcher, who tried reporting him to ABC executives. Marc reacted by telling Nicollette, “I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies.”

He would later ask Nicollette for forgiveness, but he lashed out at her again after she reported him to the bosses. Then she was informed that her character was being written off the show and that she was being fired.

It’s a story that’s even juicier than a Desperate Housewives plot. Read the full story here.

15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals

Not that she's ever been desperate in real life. The news is that she is leaving the show Desperate Housewives. This has been confirmed by ABC, which stated that Sheridan's character Edie will be "crossing a moral boundary" that will result in her leaving the show. Just to be clear, Sheridan has not been fired.

Sexy "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan just can't keep her top on, but I'm not complaining.

Sheridan & beau Michael Bolton were spotted getting it on this weekend in a boat of Italy's beautiful Lake Como.  Looks like Nicollette hates tan lines just as much as we do....
