Got $8.4 million to spare? Then you could purchase Mischa’s Beverly Hills pad. The 7,600 square foot house has six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, two guesthouses, a swimming pool, terrace, media room, rustic chef’s kitchen, library, sunroom, and spa. The European-style villa is located in a gated community where you can see views of serene canyons with your Hollywood celebrity neighbors.

According to Daily Mail, the actress put her mansion up for sale following financial problems and career struggles. In January, she reportedly was sued for three months of unpaid rent on her New York apartment. She also has been struggling to get better acting jobs after being axed out of The OC and after her show The Beautiful Life was cancelled.

I never realized how long it takes for brunettes such as myself to transform into blondes. Thanks to Mischa Barton, I think I’ll go blonde some other time. The very hardworking paparazzi documented her transformation from longhaired brunette to shorthaired blondie. Read on if you care.

Step 1: Get photographed at a red carpet event with your existing hairstyle in order for people to make comparisons later.

Step 2: Book an appointment at a posh hair salon in Beverly Hills. Spend eight hours getting every strand bleached to perfection. I wonder if they had enough magazines to read.

Step 3: Look at the mirror and admire your new hair color. Ask your hairstylist to finish your look with a new haircut.

Step 4: Show off your new ‘do to the very patient paparazzi who waited eight hours for you at the parking lot.

Remember how Mischa Barton’s been trying to get back into the game? While fans (this writer included) are praying that The Beautiful Life gets enough hits and sponsors on YouTube, Mischa is busy stepping up on other projects—no matter how big or small.

She just wrapped up her cameo on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, wherein she plays Gladys, a hooker who has a mysterious connection with Mariska Hargitay’s character Olivia. The episode will be aired on March 3.

In my recent post, I talked about Mischa Barton’s short-lived TV series, A Beautiful Life, which was cancelled after two episodes last September because it failed to reach the targeted ratings.

Producer Ashton Kutcher is refusing to give up on his show, because he believes that “Nobody knew [The Beautiful Life] was on for two episodes, so the rating on TV wasn’t happening.” He decided to put the series on youtube, believing that more than half a million people will watch it. He was right. The first youtube episode got more than half a million viewers soon after it was posted in mid-December. Five episodes have already been released, and have earned almost three million views altogether.

TBL is a New York City drama is about the underbelly world of modeling—cutthroat competitions, go-sees, the glamorous and not-so-glamorous sides of running in heels. It’s like America’s Next Top Model turned into a Gossip Girl-type of series. The best part is: there are no screaming, overexcited Tyra fans.

The show stars Mischa Barton as supermodel Sonja Stone, Ben Hollingsworth as newbie model Chris Andrews, and Sara Paxton as the new “it” girl Raina Marrinelli. Other noteworthy cast members include Corbin Bleu (a great jump out of the Disney mold), Nico Tortorella, and Elle Macpherson.

Ashton, a former model himself, is not a newbie to web success. Remember how he turned Twitter into a household name when he was the first to hit a million followers? Now that TBL has proven its point that it is a must-see show, Ashton isn’t keen on getting it back to TV-land. The youtube-based TV show is so successful that it will run for the next six months, and Ashton believes he can lure in more sponsors.

Electronics company Hewlett-Packard is the show’s first sponsor, which helped scrap the 10-15 minute time limit per webisode. Each TBL episode lasts for a full 40 minutes in high resolution with no commercial breaks. Hey, that’s even better than looking for blurry online streamings of Gossip Girl and Glee!

Exhibit A: In April 2008, she received three years’ probation for a DUI she committed the previous winter.

Exhibit B: In July, she was hospitalized and placed under Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code, which means that “authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled, or suffer from a mental disorder.” Yes, it was the same code used to hold Britney Spears twice in Los Angeles in 2008.

Exhibit C: Her new series The Beautiful Life was canceled in September after only two episodes because the ratings didn’t pick up.

Exhibit D: To bring some sizzle back into her career, the 23-year-old booked a job with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In the upcoming March 3 episode, she’s going to play Gladys, a prostitute who’s out to make trouble for Detective Olivia Benson, Mariska Hargitay’s character. Will you save that on TiVo?

Somebody help Mischa! She needs a career move that actually works.

In another sad example of real life imitating television, Mischa Barton, best known for her role as the tortured Marissa Cooper on The O.C., was sentenced to three years probation for drunk driving. Her sentence also included the order to join an alcohol education program. The 22-year-old actress agreed that driving drunk in L.A (weaving across lanes and failing to signal on a turn) was a very stupid move indeed.

Mischa Barton’s Dec 27 arrest has led to formal charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and driving without a valid license. She will face the court on Thursday.

Pulling a true to life “Marissa Copper”, Mischa Barton, of O.C. fame was arrested early Thursday in West Hollywood for suspected DUI and driving with an invalid license. She was released on a $10,000 bail and awaits the court hearing on February 28th.

The 21-year-old actress has admitted that thoughts of quitting the Hollywood limelight have passed her mind more than once. Born in the UK and raised in the US, Miss Barton‘s self-described “roller coaster” career, which peaked with her role as Marissa in the OC is the probable reason for this change of heart.

With not only Nicole Richie’s belly getting a little bit larger, but her girly pillow as well, it’s nice that the socialite is finding time for her old girlfriends as well.

Richie was spotted grabbing a bite to eat at New York’s Mercer Kitchen on Monday with celeb pal Mischa Barton.  Barton is looking frumpy as usual, while Nicole seems to have a different air about her these days.  Guess it’s just that pregnant glow kicking in…

Reportedly, actress Mischa Barton was rushed to a hospital this weekend after suffering some adverse reactions to medication.

Barton was apparently enjoying a Memorial Day cookout with a few cocktails with friends when the star began to feel ill.  Barton, who was taking antibiotics for an earlier case of bronchitis, discovered the hard way that you cannot combine alcohol with those kinds of meds.

According to Mischa’s family, the starlet is ”feeling much better” & is “resting comfortably.”

Let me just go ahead & reveal that this image of Mischa Barton is not, I repeat- NOT, from a movie set.  Which makes it all the more scarey, right?

Barton was spotted shopping in London on Monday wearing a pair of high-waisted trousers & an antique Fleetwood Mac t-shirt.  Clearly the poor girl’s wardrobe was robbed by vandals & all they left her was her old 80s stuff. 

At least Mischa is shopping for new stuff, but hurry up, girl!  Tiffany called & she wants her look back!

While out Thursday night with pals Jamie-Lynn Sigler & Kirsten Dunst, Mischa Barton partied a little too hard.

The trio were slamming back drinks at New York City hotspot The Anchor when Barton apparently pulled back a drink & then pushed back some vomit on the patio.

Now, most celebs would just go ahead & call that a night, but not good old Mischa.  Barton marched back into the club, head held high, and started the party all over again.  My, what a trooper.

So, is Mischa trying to hail a cab here or signaling her own kind on Mars to come back & pick her ass up?  You tell me.

21-year-old Mischa was clearly shaken after the incident & pulled into a gas station where the couple she literally bumped into exchanged insurance information. 

Mischa took some time to fill up Nicole’s tank, probably to soften the blow when none other than fashion mag worker Carlos Lopez saw the distressed Barton & came to lend a hand.  Now isn’t that just too friendly of that Lopez.  But I still am left wondering whether Nicole Richie still calls Mischa Barton her BFF after this little fender bender.

Mischa Barton & Cisco Adler have decided to call it quits.  After being in a serious relationship for more than a year, the couple has decided to throw in the towel, probably because Adler was sick of seeing all that Barton cellulite!

Barton’s rep confirmed the breakup, stating, “Mischa and Cisco have decided to part ways.”

“Mischa is moving east soon and they both have very demanding schedules.”

Earlier this week there were reports that Barton & rocker Adler had gone their separate ways, but a rep for Cisco stated, “They are fine – very happy together.”

Interesting, doesn’t look like they’re all that happy together if they are breaking up there, rep.  What are you going to do with these reps?  They’re always flying by the seat of their pants.

Mischa & Cisco have dated since August 2005, just two months after Barton ended her serious relationship with Brandon “Greasy Bear” Davis & shortly after Adler broke it off with fiance Kimberly Stewart, Rod’s baby daughter.

Well, here’s hoping the two find love elsewhere.
