There’s something about Mandy Moore and those medical scrubs.

In 2006, back when Mandy was still dating Zack Braff, she did a cameo as his character J.D.’s love interest in the TV comedy Scrubs.

Now, the 26-year-old singer/actress, who’s happily married to fellow musician Ryan Adams, will be wearing another set of scrubs. Mandy has signed up for a guest appearance in the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

According to TV Guide, she’s playing Mary, a patient being treated by Chandra Wilson’s character Bailey in the upcoming season finale, which will air in the US on May 20.

Other than Mandy’s cameo role, I wonder what producer Shonda Rhimes has up her sleeve.

I always wanted to like Mandy Moore, but have issues doing so because she suffers from the too nice complex. Every woman needs to show a bit of a bad side and if not bad at very least feisty. Mandy just comes across as a person that spawned from Candyland was raised by Carebears. That isn't sexy or attractive. We need some spice with that sugar girl.

Even Taylor Swift, the IT good girl, seems like she could produce a bad side at any second, but Mandy? No chance. To top it off she has a gigantically weird smile. I'm not sure if she just wasn't feeling this photoshoot, but that can't be her natural smile and if it is then no wonder she doesn't star in more roles. You would have to find a role that requires no smiling for her to fill it. Only role I can think of would be a Madonna biopic or a zombie flick, which coincidentally are the exact same type of movies.

I will go on the search for more Mandy pics in hopes that she can redeem herself, but this isn't a good start to the new year. In fact, I am going to be nice and make this my first post of the year just so it gets buried quickly because I am that nice of a guy. Mandy you can personally thank me by sending in a pic of you crying because if you smile like this then I have to figure a pic of you crying is sexy. It's a bit backwards, but my logic is sound.

DJ AM's passing away has rocked the boat for his Hollywood friends. Mandy Moore, his ex-girlfriend says that she is "absolutely heartbroken." Travis Barker, drummer for Blink 182, tweeted ""My brother is gone. I love u and miss u, I'll never forget all the good times we had." Barker was with DJ AM in a plane crash last year.

That's how the singer-actress described herself after her engagement to Ryan Adams was announced to the world. A very happy Mandy Moore is what we've got. I wonder how her partner describes himself?

Here’s another couple that has started the year right. Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are now engaged – this has been confirmed by Mandy’s rep. Mandy is releasing her album Amanda Leigh in a couple of months. No wedding date has been set yet.

Pals of singer/actress Moore reveal that Mandy is single once again after dumping DJ, a.k.a. Adam Goldstein, & is now free to pick another gentleman to be photographed at her side.

A rep for Moore made a comment, but not a very helpful one, saying, ”We don’t comment on her personal life.”

Well, I wonder who’s going to be next on Mandy Moore’s dating list….

Somewhat cute couple Mandy Moore & DJ AM spent their first Valentine’s Day together at the most magical of places, DJ’s pants.  No, really, the new couple spent the lover’s holiday at Disneyland.

Moore & DJ enjoyed some funtastic rides as well as some much-needed kissy time. 

I just don’t know about this match.  It’s been about a month of Moore & DJ dating & it still doesn’t still well with me.

What are your thoughts on this whole Mandy Moore & DJ AM thing?

Mandy Moore & DJ AM apparently are still under the impression that it’s a good idea for them to date each other.  What is up with that?  If ever there was a pair that didn’t seem to make any sense it’s them.

The duo were spotted in Los Angeles Wednesday doing a little bit of sidewalk smooching after breakfast.  I just don’t get it.  Do you?  Someone needs to explain this matchup to me.
