Kelly Clarkson is scheduled to perform at a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, soon and since there are no regulations prohibiting the advertising of tobacco products in the country, cigarette companies have sponsored the event and have placed ads using Clarkson’s photo on billboards around the city.
Now, Clarkson has come under firs from anti-smoking groups in the US, who say that if Clarkson goes ahead and performs at the concert, she’ll be advocating smoking tobacco.
In a statement released by the Tobacco-Free Kids organization, their president, Matt Myers says:
“If Kelly Clarkson goes ahead with the concert, she is by choice being a spokesman for the tobacco industry and helping them to market to children. She has the power now to turn this situation around and to send a clear message to Indonesian young people and, frankly, to the young people of the world.”
Clarkson’s camp has not come forward with a statement at the time of writing.

I am not a big fan, but you gotta admire this girl. Despite tabloids repeatedly picking on her about her weight, she easily dismisses them and even talks about working out and how comfortable she is with her body. She says she's healthy and has no problem about how she looks. Would that more people are like her!

Fans of Idol Kelly Clarkson now have something to enjoy on their iPods. Her new single, dubbed "My Life Would Suck Without You," is off her upcoming album "All I Ever Wanted." My life sure would NOT suck without her music but I wouldn't mind listening to this new album when it comes out!

25-year-old singer Kelly Clarkson has recently revealed that she was bulimic back in high school. When Clarkson failed to get a part in a school musical, she thought if she was thinner, she might have gotten the role.Â
“I thought…If I came back and I’m cuter and thinner…then I’ll get the role.”
But it wasn’t too long before a friend caught on to the act, “One of my guy friends caught on to it, and I just felt so ashamed and embarrassed.”
“I literally went cold turkey and snapped out of it.”

Well, it looks like Kelly Clarkson has lashed out at the only thing she can & up and fired her manager amid controversy surrounding her upcoming album, My December.
The singer reportedly fired Los Angeles-based Jeff Kwatinetz. A source confirms the action, stating, ”It happened last night. They disagreed over the songs and the direction. Everyone is surprised.”
Another insider reveals, “Kelly had enough.”
It’ll be interesting to see where Kelly goes from here. Either the singer is going to fall head first & never be heard from again or she’s going to be treading some thick water. You tell me which.

Singer & “American Idol” extraordinaire Kelly Clarkson has won over many, many fans but this does not boil over to Clive Davis, the head of RCA.
As we reported earlier, Clarkson learned that the 75-year-old record label head wanted to scrap Kelly’s third album, My December. Davis apparently hated the songs so much he wanted to throw away the project all together. Oucharoo!
But according to an insider close to the 25-year-old singer, the feud was a little “overblown”.
The source reveals, “Kelly co-wrote all the songs, but Clive wanted control and the label felt there wasn’t a monster hit.”
The insider went on to say that it “was hard on Kelly. The label was withholding the record. She gave it to them in January and it took five months to get a release date.â€
“Kelly was pretty hurt.â€
Well, I know just how we can cheer up our favorite “American Idol” soulstress! Let’s meet on over at her place for a ginormous group hug! Who’s game?
