…and she’s flaunting them on Women’s Health. Not bad for a 39-year-old! The singer and American Idol judge landed on the magazine’s April issue and talks about AI, boyfriends, and music.

Here are some highlights of the interview:

On the rumored Kara-Paula rivalry: “Paula and I are friends, and she’s been a huge help to me. I like strong women, and Paula is a fighter. It’s great that there are times on the show now where you see girl power.”

On which artist she wants to collaborate with next: Prince. He’s a bold artist who’s done it on his own terms. You can listen to his records today and it sounds like he made them five minutes ago.”

How she keeps fit: “I drink lots of water and sleep eight hours a night. I also exercise three times a week: 20 minutes of cardio and 40 minutes of weights with cardio. I run up and down stairs and do the elliptical. I also do step-ups on a bench.”

On dieting: “Dieting is not my thing. I’m an eater—an Italian who doesn’t eat is an outcast—but I do it in moderation. I make a special dish of vegetables and sausage with garlic and oil. If I want to get crazy, I make rice—lasagna, too.”

I think ecstatic is the word that she used. After the news that Ellen is going to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol got out, the current sole female judge of the show expressed her sentiments on the turn of events. I wonder how they will get along?

She is definitely not the best judge there is, and she certainly has had her moments as a judge on American Idol. That does not mean that she is not an integral part of the show, however. And her latest stunt is a big blow to AI, I think. Paula just announced that she will not be coming back for the next season of AI. I don't know how that is going to work out. Can you imagine Kara taking her place? The dynamics are going to be so screwed.

"New" American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi had her own fireworks over 4th of July weekend. She got married to her fiance, Mike McCuddy at the Prospect Harbor United Methodist Church. Were Paula, Simon, Randy, and Ryan among the 30 or wedding guests? I don't know!

Bikini Girl Makes A Comeback

We know her as Bikini Girl, from her infamous Idol audition, but her real name is Katrina Darrell. She came back on the final episode of AI with a win of her own – thanks to her attitude. She did a duet with Kara, with whom she had a clash during the auditions. I think Kara won this round, hands down.

Judge Kara In For Only 1 Season

I never really liked her all that much even if she does seem to speak her mind more than Paula Abdul. Still, it seems to me that she is not “real” and genuine when she speaks (not that Paula is much better). Anyhow, Kara says that she is with AI for only one season. Whatever the next season hold, we just have to wait and see.
