I think ecstatic is the word that she used. After the news that Ellen is going to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol got out, the current sole female judge of the show expressed her sentiments on the turn of events. I wonder how they will get along?

She is definitely not the best judge there is, and she certainly has had her moments as a judge on American Idol. That does not mean that she is not an integral part of the show, however. And her latest stunt is a big blow to AI, I think. Paula just announced that she will not be coming back for the next season of AI. I don’t know how that is going to work out. Can you imagine Kara taking her place? The dynamics are going to be so screwed.

“New” American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi had her own fireworks over 4th of July weekend. She got married to her fiance, Mike McCuddy at the Prospect Harbor United Methodist Church. Were Paula, Simon, Randy, and Ryan among the 30 or wedding guests? I don’t know!

Bikini Girl Makes A Comeback

We know her as Bikini Girl, from her infamous Idol audition, but her real name is Katrina Darrell. She came back on the final episode of AI with a win of her own – thanks to her attitude. She did a duet with Kara, with whom she had a clash during the auditions. I think Kara won this round, hands down.

I never really liked her all that much even if she does seem to speak her mind more than Paula Abdul. Still, it seems to me that she is not “real” and genuine when she speaks (not that Paula is much better). Anyhow, Kara says that she is with AI for only one season. Whatever the next season hold, we just have to wait and see.

Who? Some of you may be asking but shame on you for not knowing who the new American Idol judge is! Kara DioGuardi is one of the reasons for the build up of excitement for the new season of American Idol. But there is more news than her being part of the show – she is now engaged to Mike McCuddy, who asked her to marry him on December 8.
