Kanye Is Back

Cerruti Men's fashion fall winter 2010-11 collection - People - Paris

2010 seems to be the year of the comeback. We have the likes of Usher, Tiger Woods, and Jessica Simpson trying to revamp their careers after being plagued by issues last year. Now it’s bad boy Kanye West’s turn.

The hip-hop artist is releasing a new album in June entitled Good Ass Job. Now you know why he’s been MIA for the past few months. It isn’t only because of that whole Taylor Swift drama; Kanye’s actually been busy recording in his Hawaii home studio.

The album’s guest artists include Q-Tip, RZA, and Drake, and the tracks mark a return to Kanye’s hip-hop roots, compared to his more melodic 2008 album, 808s and Heartbreak.

Are you looking forward to Kanye’s new LP?

Jay-Z To Kanye’s Rescue

jay-kanye-290
Everyone and his mom has been hounding Kanye on his stupid move at the VMA - even President Obama! Rapper Jay-Z seems to be the only person to stand up for Kanye. He says that Kanye is just really passionate and that he doesn't deserve all this flak. He also says that while it was rude what he did, he didn't kill anybody.

Easy for you to say, pal, you weren't the one being dissed. PLUS, perhaps it didn't hurt that it was his girl that Kanye was rooting for!

Obama Thinks Kanye Is A J****ss

1241750179-Obama
Who doesn’t? Anyway, President Obama was being interviewed by CNBC’s John Harwood and during the pre-interview chatter (which is off the record), the talk inevitably turned to Kanye West’s stunt at the VMAs. When asked why he think Kanye did it, the President’s reply was a quick “He’s a jackass.”

The President quickly appealed to the reporters present to keep it off the record, as of course, people might get the wrong idea – he is president after all, and presidents are not really supposed to go around calling people names. Of course, you know how there is nothing secret in this town…some employees of the network overheard the remark through and immediately tweeted about it.

I say, let the President be – he is entitled to such remarks, too. PLUS he was not entirely wrong, was he?

Kanye West Apologizes To Taylor Swift Personally

1252957087_taylor-290
It took him a couple of interviews, blog posts, and several days, but Kanye did get around to apologizing to Taylor Swift “personally.” Taylor said that he called and said he was sorry over the phone. She also said that he was very sincere and that she accepted his apology. Is this the last we’re going to hear of this matter?

Why would anyone want to be called Lil Mama? Anyway, Lil Mama is her name and she did a little Kanye at the VMA. Poor little girl, no one even really noticed – at least no one talked about it except for TMZ, who must have been feeling sorry for her.

You might not have noticed, but Lil Mama jumped onto the stage at the end of the performance of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. It’s sad that she dared do something like that. It’s sadder that no one noticed.

The guy must be coming to his senses. After he apologized in his blog, he published another post on Monday where he wrote:

“I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave… That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

Yeah, I felt sorry for Gaylord Focker – he was only trying to impress his future in-laws. But what was Kanye trying to do that night, impress Beyonce?

Hollywood Twitters as Kanye Apologizes to Taylor

Last night, the MTV Video Music Awards’ most memorable moment had nothing to do with Lady Gaga’s fireworks-inspired undergarments or the all-star Michael Jackson tribute. It was Kanye West’s rude behavior towards teen sensation Taylor Swift.

Taylor’s hit “You Belong to Me” won the first moon man of the night, Best Female Video, beating top bets Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Kanye West couldn’t keep his disappointment to himself, so he jumped onstage from the audience, rudely grabbed the microphone from Taylor and said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time… one of the best videos of all time!” he said to a stunned audience.

The cameras panned to Beyoncé looking completely shocked in her seat as Kanye displayed his lack of tact. When Kanye handed the mic back to Taylor, she was too hurt and shocked to respond. The audience screamed and booed. To show their support to Taylor, they gave her a standing ovation led by the VIP celebrities in attendance.

People didn’t think twice about defending Taylor. Newbie Justin Bieber, who was the next presenter, uttered: “Taylor Swift deserved that award.” Later in the show, Beyoncé accepted her award for Video Of The Year and called Taylor back to “come out and have her moment.” The audience applauded when she said, “Let’s try this again.”

According to mtv.com, “It was a moment that had many of the artists in the Radio City Music Hall crowd pretty upset.” Celebrity twitters were instantly filled with Kanye-hate.

Pink:
“Kanye west is the biggest piece of s— on earth. Quote me.”
“My heart goes out to taylor swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her.”

Katy Perry:
“F— U KANYE. IT’S LIKE U STEPPED 0N A KITTEN.”
“Vma’s we’re amaze sack but why every1 gotta go ruin the top & bottom of it all, Kan** 2 Lil M*** get OFF DA STAGE IT AIN’T YO TIME 2 SHINE!”

Hayley Williams of Paramore:
“Taylor swift, y’all. #teamTaylor”

Perez Hilton:
“WTF Kanye????”
“Taylor Swift deserved that award, damnit. It is what THE PEOPLE voted! My heart broke for her, she looked so sad at the end of that moment.”

Heidi Montag:
“congrats @taylorswift13 on your vma!!! you deserve it more than anyone!! I saw the devil in action when kanye west stole your mic! u rock!!!

Justin Bieber:
“Congrats to @taylorswift13 . I got your back.”

Yes, “heartless” Kanye was asked to leave Radio City Music Hall after his inexcusable behavior. While he watched the rest of the show in his home, he composed an all-caps apology to Taylor in his blog.

As of the moment, Kanye’s blog is temporarily unavailable, so click on this L.A. Times article instead.

Do you believe in the sincerity of Kanye’s apology?

Country hottie Taylor Swift has come into her own, as attested to by her win at this year’s VMA. Unfortunately, Kanye West decided to be the rude person that he tends to be and interrupted her in the middle of her speech. He said:

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

Needless to say, everyone took Taylor’s side and Kanye got thrown out. Why does he do these things???

Rapper Kanye West has always been outspoken, sometimes too much for his own good. The latest hullaballoo stems from allegations that he said that he is the new King of Pop. He was quick to deny the rumors, though, and says that “Not only did I not say that, I haven’t said anything. It makes me feel bad that obviously I made people feel that I would be corny enough to say something so whack after the passing of an idol, a legend and more than that, a human being with feelings and family.

Poor guy, he has always been misunderstood I think. I just hope he didn’t really say that. Otherwise, he might just have earned the ire of millions around the world. That would be a waste of talent in my eyes.

Kanye Dishes It Out (TO TMZ)

Givenchy: Paris Fashion Week Ready-to-Wear A/W 09

Lily Allen is not the only one “upset” at paps right now. Kanye West, who has been heard saying that he’d be nicer to paps, seems to have had a change of heart. According to TMZ, he had his boys “handle hid business” but to make sure to “Say some disrespectful s**t to TMZ.” I wonder what that stuff was?

Kanye West Does It Again

House of Holland: London Fashion Week a/w 2009 - Front Row

The very vocal rapper has done it again, folks. This time, he went on a rant about Rihanna and Chris Brown, and how we should all give the guy a break. This was done during a taping of a VH1 show. The rant is part of the many clips that were edited out, though. Producers say that there is no conspiracy – they just had to cut some of his very long stories.
