Attention, Jonas fans! The famous trio will be back on tour this summer, and Kevin Jonas couldn’t contain his excitement about the awesome production. He dished the details to People magazine this week.
“From the minute you walk into the promenade—because we’re going to be playing amphitheaters during the summertime—it’s going to feel like a whole other world,” he told writer Bethany Powers. “It’s going to feel like you’re going to camp. There’s going to be things to do from the minute you walk in to the end of the night.”
Speaking of camp, fans should expect a lot of Camp Rock songs, including tracks from the upcoming Camp Rock 2, premiering on July 13 on the Disney Channel. A few more dates you need to remember are July 17, when the tour begins in Dallas, and May 15, when tickets will go on sale.
Are the Jonas Brothers starting a new trend in red carpet fashion? Is a pair of designer sunglasses really the cool thing to wear at award shows these days?
It was just too sunny that Saturday afternoon, so Kevin, Nick, and Joe had to cover up in their Rayban shades. They even took the stunners off (as they tried their best not to squint) for the photographers at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
I can feel the sales profits of Raybans increasing as I type in these words.
Since the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards caters to the younger market, you’re sure to spot a number of stylish and wardrobe-experimental dudes on the red carpet, or in this year’s case—the orange carpet.
(L-R) Musicians Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers suited up in different designer labels. Kevin’s suit and shoes were by Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers; Joe wore a Hugo suit and Sperry Topsider shoes; while Nick opted for a D&G suit.
It’s in the kicks, I’m tellin’ ya! Singer Justin Bieber spruces up what would have been another monochrome outfit with his neon green sneaks.
As if we haven’t had enough of the Jonas Brothers, Disney is giving viewers the second serving of Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream.
Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream 2 follows Kevin, Joe, and Nick on the road during their Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 across Europe, with stops in France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and England. The new installment will premiere on March 21 (8:55 p.m., ET/PT) on the Disney Channel.
The middle Jonas has his eyes set on more serious acting, and his dream role is (drumroll, please) James Bond. “I’m willing to read for anything,” Joe said. “Acting is something I love and I want to do it all. It would be an awesome dream to get a part in a James Bond movie,” the 20-year-old shared. He’s also considering auditioning for the part of a villain.
The Jonas Brothers are huge fans of Casino Royale actor Daniel Craig. “DC is the best and it would be an honor. It’s a prestigious film series,” Joe said. Sorry, Joe. A teen heartthrob you are; a dashing secret agent you’re not. The only Bond scene I can realistically see Joe doing is a comedy spoof for Disney.
Did you hear the resounding gasp of one million teenage girls worldwide? That natural phenomenon occurred when Denise Jonas, mother of the famous Disney pop trio Jonas Brothers, confirmed that the youngest Jonas is working on a solo project.
“It’s called Nick Jonas and The Administration,†Mama Jonas told Parade.com yesterday. “Shhh! He’s at the photo shoot for the album cover right now,†she said during the interview.
Nick has told fans not to worry, because it doesn’t mean they’re breaking up. In the band’s official MySpace blog, they reassured everyone that it’s just a side project. “We’ve said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can’t break up brothers,†Nick wrote.
Nick’s solo project will be launched in early 2010. The album is in collaboration with four unnamed musicians that Nick worked with in the past. Other than Nick’s side project, the brothers have planned another world tour next summer.
“A three chord strand is not easily broken,†Nick added. “And one thing’s for sure… this three chord strand is stronger now than it’s ever been.†That sounds like a cheesy pop tune this trio would sing.
The Jonas Brothers are scoring brownie points one after the other. This time, they played pro kickball (yeah there is such a thing) at the event Kick for Change. Beneficiaries are Change for the Children Foundation and Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program.
It’s like a Bono humanitarian concert for teens and tweens. We Day is an annual youth empowered rally by Free The Children, an organization that aims to fight child labor. This year, We Day started out in two different venues and dates in Canada—September 29 at Vancouver’s GM Place and October 5 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The third and final set will be on November 5 at the Hamilton Place.
Some 16,000 students and teachers attended the musical event. Guest performers such as The Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Hedley and dancers from So You Think You Can Dance Canada were received with ear-splitting cheers from the crowd.
The event wasn’t just about a cool concert. The kids and teens in attendance were in full support of the organization’s cause—to make tangible actions that make a better world, especially for children. Humanitarians, environmentalists, motivational speakers and politicians were greeted like rockstars at the event.
SOS call: The Jonas Brothers made a surprise appearance.
Justin Bieber performed the acoustic version of his hit “One Time†at We Day.
“We share with our team and we truly believe it’s not about us. It’s about the issues and we share that with all the young people,†said Marc Kielburger, one of the founders of Free The Children. “We’re just happy that the young people feel that it’s really cool to get socially engaged and what we’re fighting most of all is we’re fighting apathy.â€
“Everyday action is our message and people respond to that message because they’re really searching to bring about a positive change in this world,†added co-founder Craig Kielburger.
With the success of the rally, it looks like the kids heard the message loud and clear.

This is what it is like to be as popular as the Jonas Brothers – they have the dough to purchase a new Texas home costing a nice $2.8M. How nice is the area? Let’s just say that the brothers are now neighbors with a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, a major leaguer and a former British Open champion. Wait – I think the boys chose the wrong neighborhood!
Jonas Brothers fans, eat your heart out! According to Nick, brother Kevin is getting married before the year is over. Kevin proposed to girlfriend Danielle in July and are planning to get married in the winter.
The young diva says that it is a “stupidddd rumor.” Yes, all those d’s in there makes her statement all the more believable. In any case, she is still with current beau Justin Gaston. End of story. For now.
Remember about a week ago when we heard wild forecasts about the 3D movie of THE brothers? Well, apparently, it did not do as well as forecasted. The movie didn’t do that bad, actually, getting abotu $12.7 million in the first 3 days. It was short of the $15m that the studio was hoping for though, and way way short of the crazy predictions that reached $25m.
Teeny boppers all over the world are waiting for something big this year – the Jonas Brothers are going on a World Tour and are set to announce their stops next month or early March. These young boys have indeed made it far! More details in their MySpace Blog.
Inauguration Day was a momentous time in history but for the Obama girls, they had more coming that night. After a scavenger hunt at the White House, they opened a door to find a very pleasant surprise – the Jonas Brothers. Lucky little girls!
