As fans eagerly wait for the dreadlocked singer’s first album in April, American Idol finalist Jason Castro is giving us an appetizer with his debut single, “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again.”
It’s a cute song that’s bound to be on every romantic’s spring-summer playlist. Doesn’t it remind you a lot of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours”? I’m just saying.
I didn’t say it’s a bad thing. We have the Jonas Brothers, the new generation’s version of the boy band. We have Lady Gaga, the new Madonna. We have Miley Cyrus, the new Britney Spears. And now there’s Jason, the young bubblegum version of, um, Jason.

Remember American Idol season 7’s dreadlocked heartthrob Jason Castro? The 22-year-old happily tweeted just 14 hours ago: “Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams... It couldn't have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!!”
Jason wed girlfriend Mandy Mayhall in his hometown near Dallas, Texas. Tweets from guests and the groom himself confirmed details of the ceremony as well as Jason’s bachelor party.
The singer/songwriter’s The Love Uncompromised EP (Atlantic Records) will be digitally released on January 12, followed by a full-length album in spring. He will also begin a tour later this month.
Couldn’t he have waited for his album and music career to kick off before walking down the aisle?
