So much so that during their recent Big Brother stint they revealed to fellow contestants that their hair has been insured for £1 million pounds.  A hefty sum for a essentially a whole lot of peroxide bound by hairspray.

It’s logical to assume that works out at a huge £550,000 per leg, however in fact, due to a small car on her left leg, it’s only worth £500,000. Fortunately such imbalance is not replicated on the catwalk.

Ok so Formula One driver Fernando Alonso’s thumbs are essential to his trade but due to them also becoming a symbol of a winning brand, his Ferrari team have gone to the extent of insuring them for the overwhelming sum of £8.7 million.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Legs

It’s always been well documented that sports stars have become accustom to odd insurance policies. Due to the nature of their contact sports it makes sense, but Ronaldo’s leg insurance is just a further indication of the crazy finances involved in football. After he joined Real Madrid in 2009, the Spanish club protected their most prized asset by insuring his legs for £90 million pounds.

Mariah Carey’s Legs

I guess this goes someway to highlighting how unworldly our pop stars have become. You would imagine that Mariah’s record company might take out an insurance policy on her voice, right? Instead, Gillette, whom she represents in their ‘Legs of a Goddess’ advertising campaigns, have insured her legs for a whopping $1 billion.

A little rain (okay, it did pour heavily) didn’t stop the celebrities from strutting their gowns at yesterday’s Golden Globe Awards. Here are my top five choices for best dressed.

It’s refreshing to see that instead of her usual short skirts and petite dresses, Glee’s Lea Michele caught our attention with this long Oscar de la Renta number.

I wonder how Kate Hudson kept her fabulous structured Marchesa dress and Casadei pumps from getting drenched and muddy.

Christina Aguilera’s Versace peach chiffon gown with a unique metallic bodice stood out from other peach-hued gowns I spotted that night.

Penelope Cruz, nominated for her role in Nine, accessorized her glamorous Giorgio Armani Privé black lace gown with Chopard diamonds.

This Roberto Cavalli fishtail gown accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels made Heidi Klum the night’s freshest catch.

Those designers should’ve made matching couture umbrellas to match the stars’ ensembles!

Her target market: pregnant women. The 36-year-old Project Runway host is busy working on her two maternity lines, Lavish by Heidi Klum and Loved by Heidi Klum.

“I experienced fashion challenges during my four pregnancies and combined my knowledge of what works in terms of style, comfort and practicality to create these lines,” Heidi said. “Being pregnant shouldn’t stop you from being fashionable and feeling great about your changing body.”

If there’s anyone good at being a stylish, sexy, and pregnant at the same, it’s Heidi Klum, so I’m expecting good reviews for this project.
