Heath Ledger was working on the film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus before he died. People speculated how producers would complete it without the lead actor.

Well, they’ve found not just one person to take the role, but three — Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell. However, nobody (not even those stars’ spokespersons) know how the film will be restructured.

Lindsay Lohan posed nude for New York Magazine’s spring fashion issue.

The photo was artfully done, with Lindsay styled to look like Marilyn Monroe in her 1962 shoot with Bert Stern at Hotel Bel Air.

Lindsay admits to doing 250 crunches the night before the shoot — not that she needs it — but aside from that anxiety attack, was “completely comfortable” with the camera.

Monroe’s accidental overdose (eerily similar to Heath Ledger’s) prompted Lindsay to say, ”
“They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone.” But she’s firm about escaping that fate, and her rehab experience was a big wake up call. “I’m not them. But I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.”

In a poignant ceremony  Michelle Williams and other mourners bid a final farewell to Heath Ledger by diving into the ocean after the cremation service. “It’s what Heath would’ve wanted.”

Many of them laughed and splashed in the water, but the mood shifted considerably as the sun descended. The crowd headed to the shore, standing in line with linked arms, saying goodbye to one of the most promising — and beloved — actors in Hollywood.

Observing Williams, one mourner said: “The sun goes down on our love, but it will never go down on Heathy.”

Heath Ledger’s autopsy results revealed a dangerous mix of prescription drugs: Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Diazepam, Temazepam, Alprazolam, and Doxylamine. All of them were prescribed by doctors. Some were pain killers, others were used to treat insomnia and anxiety.

Heath took them without knowing they could kill him when used in combination. Experts believe that they slowed down his respiratory system, so he started breathing more and more slowly until he stopped breathing completely. Now police are after the doctors who allowed him to take them without informing him of the risks.

Looks like mental facilities are now the favorite Hollywood hangout.

Just as Britney Spears checked into the UCLA Medical Center, Grey’s Anatomy Justin Chambers checked out. He was suffering from a sleeping disorder — sadly, this may have been the same thing that plagued Heath Ledger.

Jake Gyllenhaal has been taking Heath Ledger’s death really hard. The two became close friends while filming Brokeback Mountain. He’s even godfather to Heath’s daughter, Matilda.

Jake had to take a leave of absence from filming his new movie, Brothers. Co-stars said that he had left the set the moment he heard about the death. Though he did return to shoot another scene, he often sat on the director’s chair, blankly staring into space.

He’s taken a leave of absence from the movie and has been turning to girlfriend Reese Witherspoon for much needed emotional support.

Heath Ledger was still filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when he died last week. Now, the production company is scrambling for ways to finish it — if only to pay tribute to the talent for someone everyone deeply respected and loved.

Costar Christopher Plummer confirmed reports that Ledger hadn’t been feeling well. “We all caught colds because we were shooting outside on horrible, damp nights. But Heath’s went on and I don’t think he dealt with it immediately with the antibiotics.…I think what he did have was the walking pneumonia.”

He also said Heath repeatedly complained about not being able to sleep and was taking pills just to get enough rest for the next day’s filming.

There are rumors that Johnny Depp will be asked to step into Heath’s role, but none of these have been confirmed.

 

Daniel Day Lewis pays moving tribute to Heath Ledger, dedicating his win as Outstanding Male Actor for a leading role – in There Will Be Blood.  “I never met him. I thought he was beautiful. I just have a very strong feeling that I would have liked him very much as a man. …I admired him very much.”

Mary-Kate Olsen finally stepped forward after her name was drawn into Heath Ledger’s sudden and tragic death.

The two had been dating casually since late last year. Initial reports said he had been found in her apartment (not true); then police announced that she was the first person the housekeeper had called. In fact, she phoned her 3 times (a minute between each call) before calling 911.

“Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.”

Police have said they will not question Olsen in connection with the phone calls.

Police have ruled out that Heath was taking a toxic mix of illegal drugs and alcohol. The rolled up $20 bill they found in his apartment tested negative for cocaine. However, he did have prescription drugs, including those to help him sleep.

Friends have said that he had been very edgy during Christmas because he missed his daughter, but that he wasn’t overly depressed.

It will take about 10 day before autopsy results are finalized.

Phone records show that the housekeeper who discovered Heath Ledger’s body called Mary Kate before 911.

Why? Reps said that the housekeeper (photograph above) wanted Mary Kate’s advice. The actress told her that she would send over security teams for help, but then the housekeeper called back to say she had dialled 911.

Strange.

Hollywood may have lost a great actor in Heath Ledger, but one little girl lost her daddy.

Heath’s daughter Matilda can only cling to the little memories she has — and a tiny spot in their old home in Brooklyn, where the two left their footprints in wet cement. His neighbor said, “It was a secret. It was a fun thing. He did it as a surprise for his family.”

The 2-year-old’s name is perpendicular to the word HUGO, which is the name of a neighbor’s dog. On Wednesday someone placed carnations on that spot.

Heath Ledger, best known for his Oscar-nominated role in Brokeback Mountain, was found dead in his New York apartment Tuesday morning.

Heath had made an appointment for a massage that day. His housekeeper went up to tell him his massage therapist had arrived — then found him dead, naked in bed, with sleeping pills nearby. It hasn’t been confirmed if he had commited suicide. An autopsy is being scheduled.

Last year, Ledger had separated from his wife, Michelle Williams, his Brokeback Mountain co-star. They have a daughter, Matilda. He’d also just finished filming “The Dark Knight” (a Batman sequel) where he played The Joker.

Okay, so, a sullen looking Heath Ledger was spotted at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday.  Of course the young lad is missing in on his lady Michelle Williams, who recently called a split.

From where I am, all I can understand is that we need a good plan to get these longtime sweethearts back together.  Which is the best way?  You tell me.

So, I’m sure you know already that I’m hurting over this seeminly sudden Michelle Williams & hottie Heath Ledger breakup.

I have to admit, there are very few celebrity couples that I feel sad about when they go their separate ways, and Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams are one of those very few.

It’s finally been officially confirmed that Ledger & Williams, who met in 2004 on the set of Brokeback Mountain, are breaking up.  The duo have been together ever since meeting on the set of the film & have a 23-month-old daughter together, Mathilda.

An insider close to the couple revealed that the split was quiet & amicable, happening a few weeks ago.

The source went on to further reveal that, “The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart.”

“They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents.”

Well, here’s to some very good years together!  Hoping Heath & Michelle find love once more.

Now, you can’t have a happy celebrity Valentine’s Day without a Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams smooching picture, now can you?

The adorable couple were spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs basketball game the other night.  Doesn’t seem like Ledger & Williams can keep their eyes on the ball themselves!

What a fab couple, one of the best in Hollywoodland if you ask me.

Wow!  According to the Daily Dish, actress Michelle Williams & longtime beau Heath Ledger might be ready to tie the knot. 

On Sunday evening the Brokeback Mountain star told the gossip column from the front row of the 3:1 Phillip Lim that she wasn’t planning on attending any other Fashion Week shows, that she just has a weakness for Phillip Lim.  After some idle chit chat, the Daily Dish questioned her about the great big diamond ring she was wearing on her finger.

Michelle’s response?  “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Ooooo. I’m totally guessing that the two lovebirds have finally gotten engaged.  Ahh, me, what a wonderful day that would be.  They’re such a hot item.
