Stupid as those statements may sound, they do come up in the minds of Jane and Joe Average, if only because of what is portrayed by the media. Now and then, we do come upon pieces showing just how human celebrities are. Humans like you and me.

This is not to downplay the health condition of any celebrity in this list. Neither is it to make fun of them, but if you feel a slight sense of schadenfreude, no one will make any judgements for sure. Adele’s stirring up a lot of talk and not in a bad way (yes, we’re looking at you MIA). The extremely talented British songstress is gearing up for her much anticipated performance at the 2012 Grammy awards. The anticipation is well deserved, this is going to be her first performance after undergoing vocal chord surgery. People are hoping that her voice will not be affected by the operation.

Adele is hitting the media in a big way as well. She is the cover of the latest of issue of People Magazine. In the accompanying article, Adele talks about her weight, which some people are criticizing her for. Adele proudly said that she never wanted to look like models that are featured in the covers of magazines. She then added that she’s proud to be representing the majority of women.

Just recently, fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld criticized Adele for being too fat.

The New England Patriots suffered a disheartening loss against the New York Giants at last Sunday's Super Bowl. The match was closely fought until the very last part of the game, which makes it a more painful defeat for the Patriots. Tom Brady, the Patriots’ quarterback, was especially sad after the game. But trust his loving wife Gisele Bundchen to console his husband.

Bundchen tenderly embraced Brady and even defended him from a heckler. A Giants fan yelled at her saying, “Eli owns your husband!” Bundchen, while waiting for the elevator, couldn’t help but blurt out “My husband cannot f**king throw the ball and catch at the same time” to one of her friends waiting with her. She was obviously referring to one of the Patriots receivers who failed to catch the ball passed by Brady – the pivotal play that could’ve won them the game.

No worries Tom and Gisele -- you win some, you lose some. Life goes on.

Everyone looks forward to the Super Bowl year in and year out, and while most people anticipate the game, you can't deny that the half time show plays a major role. And when it comes to the Super Bowl half time show, controversy is no stranger.

Remember Janet Jackson's breast-baring act? "Nipplegate", as it is sometimes called will be forever remembered by those who saw and heard about the "wardrobe malfunction". Never mind that more than half of the audience have seen more than a breast exposed on the wide screen. The American public still clamored against that act of "indecency".

This year, I am rather surprised that Madonna has not provided the controversy for the half time show. Tell me you aren't!

One of her fellow performers on stage did that instead. Rapper M.I.A. did not go all the way, but still stirred up conservatives by giving a camera her middle finger.

It's definitely not appropriate. M.I.A. should be fined or something, then let's forget about her. It's not like she gets lots of publicity these days anyway. Maybe she thought that making that gesture would get her more than five minutes in the limelight in 2012.

Madonna’s set to unleash her newest album M.D.N.A., and as expected rabid Madonna fans are already all over the two tracks she has released of her album – “Gimme All Your Luvin” and “Masterpiece.”

The legendary icon recently talked about her hotly anticipated album. Madonna said that most of the album is going to be “action-packed” and “more high energy.” Gimme All Your Luvin is the uptempo sample from the album, while Masterpiece, is “more reflective”, according to Madge.

M.D.N.A. has no official release date yet but if rumors are to be believed, we can expect to see the album in stores around March this year.

Madonna’s taking the media by storm this month as she works double time to drum up publicity on her album and ultimately to herself. One of her most anticipated appearances will be during the Superbowl when she performs during halftime. Her feud with Elton John is also helping her out. John’s been taking potshots at her the past few weeks and I think Madonna, the media savvy person that she is, is appreciating the fight. If I were her I’ll egg Elton John some more.

Demi Moore recently got in the news a few months after her much publicized separation from Ashton Kutcher. Moore was apparently so affected by all the negative things in her life that she was recently admitted to a rehab center due to exhaustion. This meant, of course, that she had to bow out of the project she’s supposed to participate in, the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace.

One person’s misfortune is another one’s opportunity, so getting the juicy role of feminist Gloria Steinem that Demi Moore is so play is Sarah Jessica Parker. The Sex and The City star will be replacing Demi. The choice is actually a good one. Not put Demi further down, but Parker is the better actress. It will be great to see how Parker will channel Steinem in the movie.

We wish Demi Moore the best of luck and hope she gets better soon.

Tom Cruise may still be feeling the effects of his crazy phase but it’s good to see that he’s still unfazed by the effects of his image going south and just figuratively let his hair down and be a normal dude for once.

He definitely showed that side of him to the public when he went out with his adorable daughter Suri for a fun afternoon at Disneyland in California.

Cruise, who was comfortably dressed, walked holding Suri’s hand. Suri, who is constantly being referred to as the best dressed child in the world, was on form as well – wearing  pink and white polka dot sweater on top of a purple dress. She was obviously having fun, as she walked around with face paint on her.

Tom Cruise is probably spending a lot of quality time with Suri as this will be the only free time left to him before he goes back to work promoting Rock of Ages, his new movie. For those of you who still don’t know what the movie’s about, let’s just say it’s a rock musical with a really vibe. This is going to be our first time to see Cruise perform in a movie of this type so it should be worth watching out for.

Let’s face it, sex scenes can really turn people on. It doesn’t even have to be porn. Really well made sex scenes in mainstream movies can be very erotic or overtly sexual that it can arouse people. But have you ever thought about what those actors feel when making acting in these scenes?

Keira Knightley will tell you that acting in sex scenes can be very difficult. In her new movie, A Dangerous Method, she had to some really heavy sex scenes and it was difficult for her to act in them. She recalled that it needed the help of some alcohol to help her loosen up and perform.

Keira said, “We had one or two shots maximum. It was a vodka shot to calm our nerves and away you go really. Then we had champagne. We drank quite a lot of champagne, actually. The vodka and the champagne was a good combination.”

Before you start thinking that A Dangerous Method is a sex film, it’s actually a movie about the rivalry between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Knightley will play Jung’s love interest, a sex-starved mental patient who is into masochism. Now, that’s a role.

Ryan Seacrest has been making really good career decisions ever since he landed the American Idol gig that has made him a huge star. He’s parlayed that fame into various businesses that is making him richer than ever. And he’s about to add another feather to his cap.

Seacrest is about to launch his own cable network.

He has recently partnered with Mark Cuban, Creative Artists Agency and AEG to reprogram Cuban’s HDNet and transform it into AXS TV.

The partnership, which will initially be good for three years, will offer audiences a behind the scenes view of what happens in red carpet events, awards shows and music events.

Ryan Seacrest has this to say about his new venture: “HDNet is the perfect partner to help us translate our vision into a reality, giving us an instant reach into 35 million homes when we rebrand the channel and launch AXS TV.”

Brian Dunkleman must be kicking his own ass right about now.

Heidi Klum and Seal

I say that it is a reflection of Heidi Klum’s priorities. Yup, people, not all women are after those hot, hunky guys. Although that factor always helps as long as the guy isn’t an a-hole.

Sad to say, this seemingly fairy tale marriage has truly come to an end. Over the weekend, the grapevine was ablaze about the split up of the couple, with TMZ even saying that the divorce will be filed within this week. While we do not know about that with certainty, we definitely know that the couple are going their separate ways, thanks to a joint official statement released by the couple. Err, the former couple.

Snippets of the joint statement make it clear that this story has come to an end:

While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.

A very nicely written statement, yes, but we can only make assumptions about what really happened. Fans of the ex-couple are probably heartbroken to have to bear witness to this breakup, but hey, it’s life. And it’s Hollywood. Next!

Mark Wahlberg is one of the most respected people in Hollywood. He’s a talented actor and highly successful producer (he produces the award-winning HBO series Entourage). He’s definitely come a long way from being the bad boy that he was in the 90s.

Mark Wahlberg’s been known to spout out some very controversial statements all throughout his career and his recent comment that appeared in an interview he did with Men’s Journal is just the latest one. In that interview, Wahlberg speculated about how he would’ve acted had he been in one of the planes that were hijacked and crashed during 9/11.

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry,’” Wahlberg said.

His statement naturally drew the ire of many people, including the families of those who perished in those planes. Mark Wahlberg, in true “turned a new leaf” style,  readily admitted his mistake and apologized deeply to the families of the victims. He admitted that he did cross the line and said his answer came off as insensitive even though “it was certainly not my intention.”

Dita von Teese was joined on the red carpet by 2012 beauty pageant princesses and nightclub models but she was not daunted by the rival beauties.

“I’m a woman of experience, and not one of them has a waist as tiny or tight as mine in a cinch! “she said before the show. “I’ll pull out all the stops for a raucous, one-off, classic show undressing in a large champagne glass against the fountains of the Bellagio. How can any of them compete with that?”

She was right. They couldn’t and she was the star of the night.

When the clock struck midnight, Von Teese took the stage in an haute couture costume adorned with thousands of Swarovski crystals. She then teased the cheering crowd as she danced around an enormous champagne glass peeling off layer after layer of clothing and untying the corset from her tiny laced up waist. The crowd went wild as Miss Dita Von Teese poured champagne down her body, finally immersing herself into the champagne glass, kicking and splashing champagne.

It was Dita Von Teese’s first burlesque performance in Las Vegas for over a year. But afterwards Von Teese said that she hoped to be back in Vegas soon.

“I’m hoping we’ll be able to bring some of the showgirl burlesque back to Vegas. I’m doing the real version, which is the same way it was done in the 1930s and ’40s; that’s what burlesque really was.”

That’s what’s likely to happen as the rift between Madonna and Sir Elton John got reignited at the recently held Golden Globes Award. Both artists were nominated for Best Original Song. Elton John fired the first salvo when he said that Madonna had “no *Bleep* chance” to win the award.

Madonna, not one to keep a slight unacknowledged, first asked if John was “wearing a dress” then said “let the best man win.” Madge would eventually bag the award for her song Masterpiece, which was featured in W.E, a movie that also marked her directorial debut.

Madonna gave an acceptance speech that featured her slight British accent. The whole brouhaha could have died there if not for Elton John’s husband David Furnish, who took to Facebook and said “Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!”

This time Madonna took the slight with a little more dignity, talking about Elton John, “I hope he speaks to me for the next couple of years. He’s known to get mad at me. He’s brilliant and I adore him. He’ll win another award so I don’t feel bad!”

Now who would have thought that Guns ‘n Roses frontman Axl Rose loves cats? Apparently, he introduced his cat to the world via his Twitter account, and he had only one word to say “Dijon”. Nice name for a cat, if I say so myself!

In 2008, the Maruah suffered a devastating miscarriage shortly after getting married, and as a result began taking progesterone, a hormone often prescribed to boost fertility and/or to support or maintain pregnancy in women susceptible to miscarriage. She combined the progesterone with “once-a-day” acupuncture treatments “all over her body” designed to increase fertility. The combo worked wonders – the couple had twins in April 2011.

Celine Dion had twins, thanks to IVF, and has spoken openly about her six failed IVF procedures. Only a few decades ago IVF was considered weird science, now everyone is using it.

David and Courtney Cox-Arquette have had a well publicized battle with infertility.  After several miscarriages due to immunity problems their baby girl, Coco was born thanks to IVF. Courtney said at the time “In vitro is a wonderful thing that people can do in this day and age, and I’m lucky enough to be able to afford it.”

Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-lee Furness struggled with conceiving a child. After several miscarriages and failed IVF, Jackman finally became a fatherwhen he went on to adopt their children.

Melanie Griffith and her husband, Antonio Banderas struggled with secondary infertility for years and had some unsuccessful infertility treatment. Reportedly, the emotional pain caused by the failed treatment is part of the reason for her alcohol addiction and why she entered rehab.

Helena Bonham Carter and her director husband Tim Burton struggled with infertility and went through Clomid, IVF, and several alternative treatments. before conceiving a baby girl naturally.

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Camille used a surrogate after her Irritable Bowel Syndrome prevented her from carrying to full term. And Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban also went down the surrogacy route with their biological baby born via a surrogate mother  in Dec 2010.

Gordon Ramsey is one of the few celebrities to speak openly about male infertility when on his UK show the F Word he admitted to a low sperm count. Ramsay’s wife also had female fertility issues, specifically polycystic ovary syndrome. Their first three were IVF babies although their 4^th was reportedly conceived naturally.

The author also struggled with infertility and wrote a blog about a man struggling with infertility. Now, thanks to IVF, he writes a new dad blog. He lives in London.

Josh Hutcherson

As things turn out, even as the movie has not been released yet, Josh Hutcherson is already talking about filming the sequel to the first movie. Hutcherson plays the role of Peeta Mellark, one of the love interests of Katniss Everdeen. I shall not say more to avoid spoilers for those of you who have no clue about how the story ends!

Hutcherson is no stranger to movies, although he is relatively unknown. He has played roles in movies such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Polar Express. He says that the future is looking bright about the second movie, Catching Fire. It’s just a matter of seeing how Hunger Games will do and that by fall, they should start filming.

That is good news for Hunger Games fans, isn’t it?

Rihanna and Chris Brown got into a huge controversy a couple of years ago. The pop stars became tabloid fodder when Brown was arrested for assaulting Rihanna after they had attended a pre-Grammy Awards soiree.

A lot has happened since then, Rihanna became even bigger and Brown managed to salvage his career despite beating up his girlfriend. The two logically separated after the incident, with Rihanna calling it quits.

But we’ve been hearing reports that Rihanna may not have completely closed the door on that chapter in her life. In fact, the rumors are that Rihanna is actually flirting with Brown bigtime and may actually want him back.

Rihanna actually started a Twitter conversation with Chris, which everyone obviously saw. But it did not stop there. She has visited Brown as he was recording in a studio twice and she has been calling and texting him. This, despite the fact that Brown is in a relationship with Karrueche Tran since 2010.

Rihanna is really turning out to be a bad girl.

A lot of slip-ups have happened in Twitter. The popular micro-blogging service encourages people to post tweets of what’s happening in their lives at the very moment they feel like it. The problem though is that there will be times when you wouldn’t be able to check your tweet for any mistakes until after you’ve posted it.

Take Annalynne McCord for example. The 90210 hottie recently posted a picture in her Twitter page that was meant as a sort of gift for a fan. Annalynne McCord took the half-body picture herself inside what looks like her bathroom and promptly posted it on Twitter. Unfortunately, she didn’t check if her framing was good enough. The initial picture had inadvertently exposed one of her breasts. It was a good thing that McCord realized her Twitter malfunction quite early. She removed the photo, recropped it and posted it again. The more intrepid internet user will probably be able to find that photo online.

The year 2012’s just a few days old and yet we’ve already witnessed a celebrity breakup. Pop singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand has recently announced that they are separating and filing for divorce after just barely four months of marriage.

Perry and Brand were a very high profile couple and their engagement was played up a lot in the media. Their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties were also extensively reported because of their high profile guests (especially with Perry being best friends with Rihanna). All of the frenzy over their engagement and marriage would’ve led you to believe that their relationship would at least last a couple of years. But I think Kim Kardashian has already proven that it doesn’t matter if you have a wedding that’s almost considered a national event, it wouldn’t mean squat about how long the marriage will last.

Perry has already  gone on Twitter to thank her fans and family for the support they are giving her. But Katy Perry, who is known for being brutally candid, has been surprisingly silent about the reasons for her split with Brand. Maybe we’ll find out the reasons in a future song?

Kate Middleton at UK Premiere of War Horse

War Horse was released earlier in the United States. Set in World War I times, the movie is about a young man named Albert. After his beloved horse, Joey, gets sold to the cavalry, he decides to enlist in the army. The reviews are not stellar, but it has gotten many nominations.

In any case, Kate Middleton and Prince William seemed to be delighted that they were at the premiere. The Prince looked the doting husband, complete with an umbrella worthy of a royal couple.

While that appearance is anything but low key – the couple were certainly the focus of attention, maybe second only to Joey the horse – other rumors say that Kate Middleton’s upcoming 30th birthday celebration is going to be a quiet one. The grapevine has been busy, with a lot of speculation about how lavish the Duchess of Cambridge’s big 3-0 celebration would be, but it seems that this duchess is not going to go down that road.

If she can survive a little rain, I am sure she can hack a “low key” party!

Drew Barrymore is one of the nicest women in Hollywood. That radiant smile is just so disarming, you’d want to be her friend. Even though she’s had her share of challenges (she was the 80s’ Lindsay Lohan) she has been able to bounce back and turn her personal tragedies into triumphs. She’s now one of the most successful people in Hollywood.

And now you can also add bride to be to that list of achievements. Barrymore is now officially engaged to her beau Will Kopelman. She has been spotted wearing a huge 4 karat engagement ring featuring a radiant cut diamond and set on a diamond covered band. The ring was designed by Graff and was presented to Drew when Kopelman proposed to her over the holidays in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Barrymore and Kopelman have been dating since February of last year. And I really thought Drew was destined to be with Justin Long, which she has been dating on and off and even starred in movies with. Best wishes to Drew and Will!

Sometimes you’re on top and sometimes you’re at the bottom. No I’m not talking about having sex. It’s the way a career cycles between success and failure. And no one knows this more than Martha Stewart.

The lifestyle icon and mogul is suffering a setback in her career. Stewart’s daytime TV show has recently been cancelled and will soon go off air. The production of the Martha Stewart Show will end by April this year. But the Hallmark Channel, which airs the show, has announced that it plans to continue airing re-runs of the show once the new episodes have been burned off.

The Martha Stewart Show debuted in 2005. Martha’s new show featured different segments on food and cooking, DIY projects, interior designing and various tips and tricks for the kind of lifestyle she promotes – which is the kind of relaxed domestic lifestyle where you can afford to dabble in different hobbies and host parties. Okay, it’s really a fantasy lifestyle for most women, but hey, TV does sell fantasies.

There are rumors that Stewart will be preparing a lavish send-off for the show when it airs its final episode.

The man is simply a death trap for confidence but we’re guessing women find that attractive in a man. While being on American Idol, we’ve seen him cut up contestants and go on constant piss fights with fellow judge Paula Abdul.  The tension between them was pretty evident. Sexual tension for that matter!

Yes there was sexual between these two, but more on Paula Abdul’s part. The 52 yr. old British reality TV mogul found himself in a predicament of sorts weighing out his options on the idea of hooking up with 49yr old Paula Abdul.  Cowell admits that Paula was a million percent into pursuing him for a relationship but the thought of never having it good as the before, and the fact that they couldn’t even travel in the same plane, was enough to let their  dates end in just a good kiss.

Apparently, even  Denis Richards has a wild thing for Cowell, and thinks he’s one major hottie! The two were rumoured to have dated while she was 8 months with child.
