2. It’s Cher’s first movie in a long time. Her last film role was for Matt Damon’s Stuck On You in 2003. In the photo above, Cher is on the set for Burlesque in Hollywood in January. She plays Tess, the proprietor of the club. The other burlesque dancers may be 1/3 Cher’s age, but this 63-year-old diva can still work it on those killer stilettos and animal-print outfits.

3. It has an interesting story line. Think Moulin Rouge meets Cabaret. Here’s the plot synopsis from the movie’s IMDB page:

The Burlesque Lounge has its best days behind it. Tess, a retired dancer and owner of the venue, struggles to keep the aging theater alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounge’s troupe members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman’s quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by newfound friends amongst the theater’s crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali’s big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue.

4. The movie features a stellar cast. There’s red-haired Julianne Hough as Georgia, a brunette Kristen Bell as Nikki, the hunky Cam Gigandet as Jack, and Alan Cumming as Alexis, among other big names.

5. An awesome soundtrack is in the works. The movie’s writer/director/actor Steven Antin may get inspiration from his sister Robin who created the burlesque troupe The Pussycat Dolls in 1995. And with the likes of Cher and Christina Aguilera on the team, you know the soundtrack can’t go wrong.

Just when you thought that motherhood and family life has tamed her down, Christina Aguilera brings some naughtiness back to her career. Her “Dirrrty” days are long gone, but who said you can’t unleash some mischief?

On her official website, she unveiled the artwork for “Not Myself Tonight,” the first single of her upcoming album, Bionic. Like a page off Rihanna’s book, Christina’s wearing a sexy dominatrix outfit with drawn-on devil ears and a tail.

Wait, there’s more! She also put up a counter to count down the hours, minutes and seconds ‘til her next big announcement. That’s a cool way of keeping the fans in suspense.

Remember this talent show? It aired from 1983-2003, with its peak in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Back in the day when reality TV ceased to exist, viewers would sit on their couches to see which singers, dancers, and comedians would get the best ratings and win Star Search.

TV network ABC wants to revive the show and are looking modern-day judges to give the coveted 4-star ratings. They’ve approached former American Idol judge Paula Abdul to potentially join the show, but she reportedly demanded a hefty paycheck so no deal was made.

Paula Abdul: Nope, I’m not exactly going to go with this show. I really like your dress, though.

While we wait for ABC to cast talent show judges, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and see some of today’s top performers who started off as big dreamers at Star Search.

The year is starting out right for the popstar. She appears on the February cover of Marie Claire. The blurb “I’m a different person now” tells a lot about the mag’s juicy interview with the 29-year-old.

She talks about motherhood and maturing in the showbiz industry. “In this crazy business, it’s so easy to build up a lot of walls and a lot of bitterness,” she said. “And it’s just no way to be… “[I can now use softer tones] that maybe I’ve been afraid to do in the past, to allow myself to go to a place of ‘less singing.’ I’m more vulnerable and more strong at the same time.”

Christina Aguilera is being criticized for continuing to party despite having a young baby. She loves her child, Max, she says, but she also says she deserves to have a mommy-daddy night with her hubby. How ironic that years ago, Christina was considered the “wild one” (complete with pink hair and trashy clothes) while arch rival Britney Spears was the “All-American girl.”

The stork has been working overtime in Hollywood it seems, as Christina Aguilera and hubby, music executive Jordan Bratman welcomed their baby boy in L.A. late Saturday evening.

The healthy 6 lbs. 2 o.z. boy was named Max Liron Bratman, and the happy couple were thrilled to bits with the new addition to the family.

To thank her fans and mark the special occasion, Christina posted a special message and downloadable video of “Save Me From Myself” on her website which includes real clips from her wedding to Bratman.

Word on the grapevine is that Christina is having her baby on Friday, January 11th by C-section or caesarean.  The pop songstress had a somewhat secret pregnancy, not confirming that she was “with child” until November when she was already 7 months along.  Something that one probably couldn’t get away with in a 2nd, 3rd or plus pregnancy, where you show almost immediately.

Why a C-section? Rumours abound, but the public are generally calling Miss A a ‘wuss’.  But lets be fair, there are many medical reasons why a C-section is the best choice.  So lets wish the Mom-to-be well  and eagerly await the first photos of baby Aguilera.

She’s not planning to give up her career, having told Glamour magazine that she wants to be a working mom, but let’s hope she fares better than Britney Spears in the Mommy Department. “I want to get it right,” Christina said, gushing about her husband’s support in an interview with Glamour

Xtina & hubby Jordan Bratman hit Beverly Hills on Monday, searching for the perfect essentials for baby.  The couple hit children’s boutique Petit Tresor before stopping for a spot of lunch.  I can’t wait for this babe to be born, Xtina is going to make a great mum, don’t you think?

While enjoying a party in Las Vegas on Sunday, Hilton publicly congratulated Xtina on her pregnancy, saying, “Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world, you’re gorgeous.”

Gee, thanks Paris.  Christina preg rumors have been circulating for some time, while the saucy singer has never officially stated anything on the matter.  Well, it looks like she might have to now!

Singing sensation Christina Aguilera has canceled her last two concerts in Australia after her doctors diagnosed with “a viral upper respiratory tract infection with a high fever and abnormal coughing.”  Well, that doesn’t seem like the best condition to be singing in, not to mention the pregnancy.

Xtina is in the land Down Under wrapping up her latest ginormous tour while being preggo.  In a statement to her Aussie fans, Christina said, “I want to personally apologize to all of my fans for having to cancel my last two shows here in Melbourne. Unfortunately, I have fallen ill with a bad flu virus. This is one of the best cities in the world to perform in and I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all. Thank you for all of the continued love and support and I hope to perform for you all again next time.”

Xtina’s doctors have ordered the singer to enjoy some bed rest.  Wishing you a speedy recovery, Christina!

I’m not sure where Christina Aguilera is coming from with this trend, but the singer just doesn’t seem to fancy pants lately, which pleases most of her fans I assume.

Xtina was spotted recently celebrating hubby Jordan’s 30th birthday at Sky Studios in NYC.  Maybe the fashion-gone-wrong outfit was her present to her man?  Ahh well, who knows with Christina?

Reunited, and it feels so good!  A lot of reunited couples on the docket today.  Christina Aguilera was spotted on Wednesday getting all puckered up for her old pal Mickey Mouse.

The unlikely pair were taking time for smooches & photographs at the Disney-MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.  Xtina originally appeared on “Star Search” back in 1990, but her career really took off while she joined the cast of “The New Mickey Mouse Club” show three years later.

Ahh, what a torrid past these two have!

The hottest news today is that blonde sex bombshell Christina Aguilera loves to get naked & nude on Sundays!  That is hot! 

Anyhoo, Aguilera stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres show Wednesday to help celebrate the show’s 600th episode (god, has it really been that long?!).  During couch time the 26-year-old singer revealed to Ellen how she keeps her marriage to Jordan Bratman alive.  Here’s the scoop:

Ellen: So Jordan your husband and you are at home on a weekend…when you have time off…give us a typical day, what do you do with your weekend?

Christina: “We claim ourselves to be coziest couple ever. We have something called naked Sundays.”

Ellen: Excuse me? Did you say naked Sundays?

Christina: “You have to keep marriage alive, spice it up.”

Ellen: Because it’s been how many years?

Christina: “A big whole year, we just celebrated our first anniversary and on Sundays we just do everything in the house and we’re just cozy and laid back, we don’t need to go anywhere we’re just with each other and have naked Sundays. We do everything naked. We cook naked.”

Ellen: You cook naked?

Christina: “Yeah, we cook naked.”

Ellen: Nothing with grease… that could splatter.

Christina: “Well, unless you want the grease.”

Meow!  Unless you want the grease?!!  Ha!  Sounds like Christina & hubby Jordan like to get a little wet before they serve dinner, if you know what I mean!
