The casting hat is already filled with names and the producers have yet to reveal which celebs have made the cut. The remake of the 1990 classic is slated for 2011, so fans cannot wait to see the new cast of Captain America.
For lead role Steve Rogers/Captain America, they’re reportedly looking at Channing Tatum (Dear John), Wilson Blethel (The Young and the Restless), Mike Vogel (She’s Out of My League), Chris Evans (Fantastic Four), and Garrett Hedlund (Tron Legacy).
For leading lady Peggy Carter, they’ve approached Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean), Emily Blunt (The Wolfman), and Alice Eve (Crossing Over).
For the villain Red Skull, director Joe Johnston has approached Hugo Weaving (The Wolfman).
Who would you want to see in the new Captain America franchise?

Another Nicholas Sparks novel-turned-movie is coming, so all you softies and hopeless romantics need to start hoarding the Kleenex.
In a nutshell, Dear John is a romantic drama about John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a soldier who falls for Savannah Lynn Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), a conservative college student while he’s home on leave.
I’m the type of girl who abhors sappy chick flicks and is the first to dodge cheesy romance movies, but I love both Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. While the predictable Nicholas Sparks elements are all over the trailer, I’m curious to see how the on-screen couple’s chemistry works out.
There’s also something about snail mail (yes, old-fashioned handwritten letters with envelopes and stamps) that gives a sincere feel to a love story. I can’t wait for February 5th!

There’s something about testosterone-driven action flicks that make model-turned-actor Channing Tatum feel right at home. The 28-year-old hottie has joined the ranks of Michael Angarano, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, and Michael Fassbender in the upcoming movie, Knockout.
The spy action-thriller will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, Oscar-winning director of Traffic. Knockout will mark the screen debut of mixed martial arts champion Gina Carano, who will play a top-level private security operative that becomes convinced she has been betrayed by her colleagues and goes on the run. Channing will play an agent in her spy cell.
