She is best known for her role as the adorable Stephanie Tanner on Full House with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Everything else spiraled down for her career after the show ended in 1995.
Jodie Sweetin, now 27, has penned a memoir called UnSweetined, which talks about “things that I’m too horrified to tell anyone.” Among her chronicles are her publicized drug and alcohol use that began at age 14, two failed marriages, and her stints in rehab. She also talked about finally getting sober when she found out that she was pregnant with her daughter Zoie, now a year old.

A Book Party for “UnSweetined” at Nobu on November 17, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.
The book was launched in October, and the actress has been busy doing rounds at book-signing events. She was recently spotted at The Grove in Los Angeles, where she signed copies at Barnes and Noble.
Celebrific wants to know, do you remember Jodie Sweetin? Would you read her memoir?

Posted by Kate Alvarez as Career Moves, Pamela Anderson, Richie Rich, Tommy Lee at 12:04 PM UTC on Dec, 07 2009
I can name that tune in… one note. Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is adding another talent to her resume: singer.
The 42-year-old is launching her pop career with the debut of her single, “High.†This collaboration with her designer friend Richie Rich is supposedly a song about fashion. “We are recording a pop single together,†he told Page Six. The single is expected to hit the stores by New Year.

Exactly how much of her vocal prowess should we expect? “Pam says she wants to sing, but nothing too difficult, so she’s just going to sing the word ‘high’ over and over,†Rich said. Hey, even her 11-year-old son can do that.
Perhaps we should focus on Pam’s other feats. She and Rich are working on their clothing line called A*Muse, which will debut at the New York Fashion Week in February 2010. Her ex-husband Tommy Lee is helping out by DJ-ing for the show, while Anderson herself is modeling the threads.
We wonder if DJ Lee is spinning “High†into the mix?
Posted by Kate Alvarez as Career Moves, Lily Allen at 1:05 PM UTC on Dec, 03 2009
“It’s not fair and it’s really not okay!†or so her hit goes. The British popstar will be hitting pause on her singing career soon. She’s been hit with a combination of laryngitis and bronchitis and has been performing in pain. Ouch!
“I’ve had [it] for two months and I’ve just been doing so many gigs and not resting,†she told BBC Newsbeat. “I have been to an ear, nose, and throat specialist a few times and they stuck a big camera down my throat. It’s not very nice!â€
Lily Allen’s last performance will be at the Dizzee Rascal concert at the O2 (London) in March 2010. “That’s the last thing I’ve got planned,†she said. “I’m just going to concentrate on doing some behind-the-scenes sort of stuff.â€
Fans speculate that her one-to-two-year break isn’t exactly due to her bout of throat illnesses. There are talks that the 24-year-old popstar plans on pursuing an acting career. Not to worry; she’s not entirely giving up on the music industry.
“I’m going to get into signing new bands, but at a really early level,†she said of her plans to launch her own record label. “I don’t want to compete with other record companies, but I want to support new artists.â€
She will also be focusing on her new clothing shop, Lucy in Disguise with her sister Sara. “It’s about making fashion democratic,†Allen explained. “It’s about getting really nice clothes, but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars.â€
I wouldn’t mind renting Allen’s quirky duds. Just don’t expect the popstar to be Twittering and blogging about her life updates anytime soon. In her recent—and perhaps final—Twitter post, she said: “I’m a neo-luddite. Goodbye.â€

Oprah is going to have her last show today, and there’s supposed to be a big announcement – it’s probably about her plans for the future. She’s already said something about closing down The Oprah Winfrey Show but she held back, saying that the announcement will be made during the last airing. Hold on to your seats tonight, ladies and gentlemen! Oh, and bring lots of tissue – I have a feeling you’re gonna need it.

She is hot and talented – what more can a woman ask for? Scarlett Johansson is expanding her horizons and making her Broadway debut on January 24. She will be starring with Liev Schreiber in Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge.

If the rumors are true, Kate Gosselin just might go back to her old profession: nursing. Someone has found out that Kate just renewed her license on October 26 at the Pennsylvania Department of State. I wonder where she’ll be working?

If there was any doubt left as to Miley Cyrus’ growing up, there should be none left by now. She was recently spotted on the set of Sex and the City 2, apparently filming a scene. She’s only 17 but she seems really comfy around older people. Does this mean we’ll have a whole new set of SATC viewers?
Posted by Kate Alvarez as Black Eyed Peas, Career Moves, Fergie at 4:13 PM UTC on Oct, 19 2009
Last week, Black Eyed Peas member Fergie officially announced her partnership with Avon Products, Inc.
The 34-year-old singer, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, is helping the brand develop a new fragrance, which will be launched in fall 2010. “I’m always seeking out new ways to express myself,†Fergie said in a statement. “Fragrance is the perfect opportunity to share my originality and confidence with my fans and the Avon consumer. I couldn’t be happier to be working with a brand with such a strong reputation for supporting women.â€
She also said she’s honored to join the growing list of A-list stars who worked with Avon, including Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Hudson, and Salma Hayek.
It’s been a good couple of weeks for Ferg. She has just completed the Eastern leg of a world tour with the Black Eyed Peas to promote their album The E.N.D. She also recently bought a stake in the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. She was approved last week at the NFL owners meeting in Boston to become the latest limited partner of the Miami Dolphins franchise. She joins the ranks of fellow team owners Venus and Serena Williams, Marc Anthony, Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan.
While her signature perfume is still in the works, fans have been putting on their thinking caps as to what it should be called. The top pick is Fergalicious, of course!

Paula Abdul may not have her own show but she is not idle, either. News is that she is going back to Dancing with the Stars as a guest. We know she can dance, so it’s probably a good move.

Have you been missing blonde hottie Heather Locklear in Melrose Place? Well, you’ll be happy to know that the 47-year-old actress is going to make a comeback as Amanda Woodward, the “scheming ad vixen.” Fans may be looking forward to it, but not as much as Locklear, who sees this as a new lease on her career.

Oooh, I am sure her (ex?) husband Jon will agree wholeheartedly. Anyhow, Kate has practically confirmed that she will be hosting a new talk show. She said: “I’ve been given the gift of gab, so why not use it?”
She seems to be doing an okay job co-hosting The View. What do you think?

Kate Gosselin’s career seems to be picking up somehow. She is shooting a new talk show with prominent personalities including celebrity chef Paula Deen. No other details about the nature of the show have been released.

I think ecstatic is the word that she used. After the news that Ellen is going to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol got out, the current sole female judge of the show expressed her sentiments on the turn of events. I wonder how they will get along?
Posted by Gina as Career Moves, Tid Bits & News, TV Land Tid Bits & News at 12:33 PM UTC on Sep, 12 2009

She does have a point. One, she is NOT fat. Two, no one would dare fire someone for being fat, would they? Anyhow, rumors that she left Saturday Night Live for being too fat have been circulating. She says, nah, I’m just too PHAT!

Seems like Paula Abdul will really not be returning to American Idol. On Wednesday, Fox made an announcement regarding her “permanent” replacement: talk show host Ellen Degeneres. Simon Fuller is excited about it, and so is Ellen. Some critics say she is the wrong choice, I think she’ll do wonderfully. What do you think?
Posted by Gina as American Idol, Career Moves, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Tid Bits & News, TV Land Tid Bits & News at 2:54 PM UTC on Sep, 05 2009

Why am I not surprised? After all, Simon and Paula had chemistry on screen. Simon says that, while he does not want to get in between the producers of the show and Paula, the show is very different without her. Think she’ll ever come back?

This guy knows how to dance, at least inside the Octagon. He’s doing a different kind of dance these days, though – Dancing with the Stars – and he says that he’s going to stop drinking cold turkey since he doesn’t want it to mess up his training for the show. I think I will watch DWTS just to see Chuck do his thing.

It has not been long since her departure from American Idol, and Paula Abdul has not “settled down” yet. She has been trying out projects left and right, but what she really wants is a talk show of her own. Watch out guys, she just might get her wish!

They say that hard times in life make people stronger and more motivated. It looks like this is the case with Shania Twain. After being out of the limelight for quite some time, she is slowly inching her way back. She has gotten divorced, and she says this was a big bump in her life. Now, she is ready to take on the world yet again. Best of luck!
