Steve Landesberg Dead at 65

Steve Landesberg on Barry Miller

Steve Landesberg, most famously known for his role as Det. Sgt. Arthur Dietrich on the hit TV show Barney Miller has succumbed to cancer this week.

The actor had been fighting a long battle with the disease and according to his rep he passed away on Monday morning, a victim of his long battle.

Most recently Landesberg played Dr. Rosenbaum, the pediatrician, in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Jennifer Carpenter

Citing irreconcilable differences Michael C. Hall and his dexter co-star and wife Jennifer Carpenter called it quits a few days ago and now we’ve learned that it was Carpenter who first headed to court to dissolve the marriage.

The celebrity couple were married on December 31, 2008 and will continue to work together as their show enters a sixth season.

In the meantime, Hall has been nominated for yet another Golden Globe, his fifth in as many years and a Screen Actors Guild nod also came his way on Thursday.

Pink Panther Director Dead At 88

Blake Edwards Dies At 88 Years Old

A sad note today, Blake Edwards, the man behind The Pink Panther has passed away.

Aside from his fun, quirky work with the Panther series of movies, Edwards also directed Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Edwards is an Oscar winner and a big part of what Hollywood use to stand for, with movie credits according to IMDB.com extending back to 1948.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

After three years together Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron have called it quits.

The pair met when they starred together in the hit Disney movie “High School Musical.”

The breakup appears to be moving along without any drama, a source close to the couple said “it’s nothing dramatic” adding “there’s no third party involved” while another source said “They were together for so long, it just ran it’s course.”

Both Zac and Hudgens are off  filming their own movies at the moment, with Hudgens filming the sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth titled Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Efron filming “The Lucky One” in New Orleans.

Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry Call It Quits

Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry have ended their very short lived relationship.

The breakup according to Life & Style occurred because Kim claims the 34-year-old Versace model was only interested in using her for money and to climb the Hollywood social ladder. “Kim feels like Gabriel was just using her for her fame” said a Kardashian insider.

The relationship comes just 7 months after Berry and Aubry called it quits on their five years together, Aubry has a two-year-old daughter, Nahla with Berry.

Another snoop said that Gabriel “is older than Kim is looking for, so she’s decided to stop seeing him.” Gabriel is four years older than Kim and he usually dates older women than himself.

We wouldn’t worry about Kim, she’s reportedly dating Kris Humphries, a 25-year-old b-baller for the New Jersey Nets and according to PopCrunch:

“Kim likes him much more than Gabriel. He’s normal, so much fun and cute. He’s perfect for what Kim wants right now, which is some fun dates and some fun times.”

Jim Carrey’s Daughter Gets A Divorce After One Year Of Marriage

Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane is getting a divorce after one year of marriage. According to In Touch husband Alex Santana, lead singer of Blood Money and Jane are calling it quits. The couple have one son together, Jackson Riley, who was born this past March.

According to one of Jim Carrey’s reps:

“The couple will remain friends, as well as devoted parents to their 9-month-old son, Jackson Riley.”

Jane and Jackson are currently in New York City visiting Grandpa Jim on the set of his newest movie “Mr Popper’s Penguins.”

Leslie Nielsen Dead At 84

Leslie Nielsen Death

Leslie Nielsen, star of Airplane and the Naked Gun series, among other comedic and serious films has died, he was 84 years old.

Nielsen passed away at a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday. Nielsen is said to have been suffering from complications due to pneumonia.

Brendan Frasier’s Broadway Run On “Elling” Is Shortest In Recent Memory

Brendan Fraser and his broadway show “Elling” will be coming to an end after just 22 previews and nine performances.  The final show for “Elling” will take place on Sunday, Nov. 29, making it one of the shortest Broadway runs in recent years.

The show is a theatrical take on Simon Bent’s Norwegian comedy and starred Fraser and Denis O’Hare. The show has earned just $145,070 after eight performances and most tickets were sold at sharp discounts.

On his Facebook page O’Hare said:

“If you want to see Elling, ya better hurry. We are being closed down this Sunday… yup. Our producers will go no further. Happy Thanksgiving!”

Jill Clayburgh Dies After 21-Year Battle With Chronic Leukemia

Actress Jill Clayburgh, the two time Oscar nominee died this week at her Lakeville, Conn. home, she was 66 years-old. Clayburgh had been battling a 21-year fight with chronic leukemia.

Clayburgh was first nominated for an Oscar in the 1978 film An Unmarried Woman then again the following year for her co-starring role beside Burt Reynolds in Starting Over.

Most recently she was known for her role as the mother of Ally in Ally McBeal on the small screen along with smaller roles on Nip/Tuck, Law & Order, The Practice and other small screen roles.

Bachelorette Contestant Julien Hug

Former Bachelorette contestant Julien Hug who disappeared from San Diego last week and was eventually found dead took his own life according to his parents.

Hug appeared on the 2009 Bachelorette airing where he battled for the love of Jillian Harris but was eliminated after 2 episodes, underneath his TV appearance Hug had been battling depression.

Julien disappeared on Monday and was found in some brush off a local interstate in San Bernadino National Forest. His suicide was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Maurice "The Enforce" Lucas Maurice “The Enforcer” Lucas, formerly of the Portland Trail Blazers died this week, he was 58 years old.

The former NBA star who helped lead his team to the 1977 NBA title had been suffering from a long battle with bladder cancer.

After his playing days ended Maurice went on to be the assistant coach of the Blazers

Lucas was drafted during the 1976 ABA dispersal draft and during his teams 1976-1977 NBA title run he averaged an impressive 20.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.

Denise Bornia-Quinn Denis Borino-Quinn, the woman behind Johnny Sack’s wife, Ginny Sacramoni, on HBO’s run away hit Soprano’s died on Wednesday, she was only 46.

Borino-Quinn had been suffering from cancer and passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey.

Barbara Billingsley, the actress who famously played June Cleaver in the 1950s hit sitcom Leave It To Beaver died at her Santa Monica home this Saturday, she was 94-years old and had a long battle with the rheumatoid disease polymyalgia.

After her Beaver role ran it’s course Barbara was hard pressed to find work, having been typed cast in the series after 6 seasons as the stay-at-home mom to the mischievous Beaver.

She eventually took a role in the 1980 comedy Airplane and she appeared in the 1997 Beaver TV movie along with several other small roles throughout her career.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette are getting divorced

After 11 years of marriage it looks like Courteney Cox and David Arquette are calling it quits.

The couple famously met while filming the 1994 thriller Scream where they play love interests. In 2004 the couple gave birth to their daughter Coco Arguette.

According to In Touch Weekly the pair actually separated “several months” ago and that they still maintain a “professional relationship.” Both Cox and Arquette will appear in the fourth Scream move which will be released next year.

Rumors earlier this year pointed to Courtenexy Cox dating her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt.

Eddie Cibrian, who you might remember had an affair with the then-married LeAnne Rimes has finalized his divorce from Brandi Glanville.

Rimes and Cibrian met on the set of their 2009 Lifetime movie Northern Lights.

The couple (Cibrian and Glanville) were married for eight years and have two children together. The divorce was granted by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge last month.

Cibrian filed for the divorce in August 2009 citing irreconcilable differences, which we assume translates to “affair with Rimes.”

During the same time Rimes announced her divorce from her own backup dancer husband Dean Sheremet, they had been married for seven years.

Donnie Wahlberg Finalizes His Divorce

Donnie Wahlberg Donnie Wahlberg, a member of the New Kids On The Block, is officially single. According to the Associated Press the crooners divorce from Kim Key was finalized on September 28.

Wahlberg is also the star of a new CBS cop show called Blue Bloods and is the older brother of actor Mark Wahlberg.

Fey and Wahlberg have been separated since 2008 and they both filed divorce papers on the same day in August of that same year.

Rich Cronin Dead

LFO singer Rich Cronin passed away on Wednesday, he was just 35 years old.

LFO was a popular boy band in the ’90s and Cronin was front and center with the band, both as they rose to fame and after they fell out of the limelight and he fought a five year battle with leukemia.

LFO is best known for their summer song hits Girls On TV and Summer Girls. The latter his No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 1999.

Comedian Robert Schimmel Dies From Car Accident Injuries

Robert Schimmel Dead from Car Accident

Robert Schimmel, a regular comedian on The Howard Stern Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien has passed away. Schimmel was involved in a car accident and was checked into a Phoenix hospital on Friday.

Shimmel was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by his 19-year-old daughter Aliyah who was run off the road by an out-of-control SUV. The car, a Honda coupe hit a concrete drainage ditch that was located on the side of the road. The SUV driver sped away from the scene but was caught later that night.
