On Thursday Rosie O’Donnell stated, “Danny DeVito is not an alcoholic.”

“He’s just a guy who had too many with his friend.”

On Wednesday, 62-year-old Danny DeVito showed up for the show a couple of sheets to the wind, after spending all night drinking with sexypants pal George Clooney.  DeVito came to the show without any sleep & with some very suspicious breath.

DeVito commented on his behavior, saying, ”I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me.”

Co-host Joy Behar said Thursday that Danny boy was as “drunk as a skunk.”

“But he was a fun drunk,” said co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

DeVito’s rep released this statement regarding his appearance on The View, “Danny DeVito will be personally in touch with Barbara Walters. He wishes to keep this conversation with her private. No further statement is planned.”

I don’t know about you, but it was still the best show they ever had.  They owe Danny one big thank you.
