I didn’t notice it until last weekend’s Grammy Awards. Rihanna and Mary J. Blige are sporting the same do. I ask you (with a Sherlock Holmes voice), who did it first? Or better yet, (in a Tyra Banks voice) who looks better?
This ’do is definitely making a “Russian Roulette.”

Last night’s gathering of entertainers brought out a new trend for red-carpet dressing. Perhaps it’s the 2010 bug where fashionistas are out to challenge the conventional “glam-glam-glam” mantra. Here are my top 10 picks for the Grammy’s best dressed, in no particular order.
As Fergie posed with the rest of the Black Eyed Peas, her cobalt blue Emilio Pucci mini was simply Fergilious.
Miley Cyrus was definitely ready to “Party In The USA” with her teal Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress.
Carrie Underwood sure had a penchant for straps that night. Her Edition by Georges Chakra gown looked great, especially when she received her Best Country Collaboration award.
Before the show, Katy Perry tweeted: “[sic] I’m excited 4 today, all the performances r going to be fab & beauty is gonna be on point! Today I’m channeling Indian Betty Paige princess!” It looks like her Zac Posen dress did the job.
Multi-winner Taylor Swift glittered, literally, with her off-shoulder KaufmanFranco gown.
Sleeves are back on the red carpet style radar. Beyonce, who got the most nods at the Grammys, stood out with her detailed fishtail gown.
Rihanna brushed off rumors that she was blacklisted from the Grammys. Her Elie Saab Haute Couture gown made the feathered collar a must-have fashion detail.
Jennifer Nettles of The Sugarland gets a little help from Posh Spice with this Victoria Beckham cutout dress.
Hot mama Heidi Klum’s nude Emilio Pucci minidress stood out, thanks to the stylish embellishments.
Newbie singer Chantel “Chani” Christie’s bodice minidress spelled hot.

She’s not exactly a Lady Gaga, but R&B star Rihanna has managed to shock Hollywood with her punk-chic hairstyles that paved way for copycats all over the world. Remember when she started the sexy bob, the undercut, and the faux hawk?
Now this. We spotted her last Saturday at the Staples Center watching an NBA game. It doesn’t matter whether she was rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers or the L.A. Clippers. I was too preoccupied checking out her ‘do.

Rihanna Writes a Book

Another one bites the dust. Why is it that most celebrities feel the need to pen a memoir of their lives? We already have TMZ tailing them from day to night and the TMI world of social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.
The latest star to join the bandwagon of celebrity autobiographers is R&B singer Rihanna. She enlisted the help of Simon Henwood, the guy who designed her Rated R CD cover, to be the artistic director of her upcoming tour to release a new book called Rihanna: The Last Girl on Earth. The 144-page book will be released in hardcover on June 29.
While there are no official tidbits about the book’s contents, I’m pretty sure it will talk about Rihanna’s career struggles, a revelation about alcohol and/or drug experimentation, and a no-holds-barred discussion about her abusive relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. Call me psychic!
Rihanna Likes Them Big And Something About Naked Pics

So apparently Rihanna had some naked pictures posted of herself earlier this year that were the most popular naked pics known to man. Well, she was a bit embarrassed to know that her mom was aware of the pics and you can’t blame her. Her mom always told her to condition her hair before posting any nude pics online. Lesson learned RiRi.
However, she wasn’t embarrassed enough to do a radio interview with Hot97 and say:
If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him.
Women around the world, listen to her. She is an ambassador for females everywhere and speaks the truth. It is our duty as men to forward this message to all girlfriends in the universe so that we no longer suffer another day without naked pics from our lady friends.
If you were wondering whether or not you should feel bad for me, well I can tell you that you should. Start crying a river.

And it’s looking pretty good for her. After that scandal with ex boyfriend Chris Brown, it looks like Rihanna’s luck is a-turnin’. She just released a new album titled “Rated R,” and fans have not hesitated to grab their own copy. As for Chris Brown…he’s still serving his (light) sentence.

There was a bigger reason for Rihanna’s coming out to talk about the assault – she wants to help others and maybe save lives. Ex Chris Brown was upset about her revelations, but Rihanna knows she is doing the right thing. I totally agree!

Everyone was eager to hear what Rihanna had to say about the night that her then boyfriend, Chris Brown, beat her up. She was quite candid during the interview, and naturally, Chris Brown wasn’t too happy about it. He says that what happened that night should remain between the two of them. Rihanna helps save a life

Rihanna has helped a woman battling leukemia to find a bone marrow donor.
Lisa Lisa Gershowitz-Flynn, a 41-year-old lawyer, is amazed at the response she got from strangers after the singer sent out a plea for help. The donor was anonymous, has never met her, and doesn’t know who she is.
Rihanna had reached out to Flynn, asking fans to come in and help through an exclusive article at People magazine. Nearly 5,000 readers then called DKMS, the world’s leading bone marrow donor center.
Rihanna’s efforts can potentially save other lives. “We actually recruited and registered roughly 2,000 new donors, just from phone calls and emails we got – and it’s continuing,” says Katharina Harf, executive vice president of DKMS.
After finding the match, Flynn is now awaiting the bone marrow transplant.
“My life will be saved because of you, my family and friends (old and new),” Flynn writes. “My children (Michael, 5, and Alexandra, 3) will have their mother, my husband will have his wife, and my parents will have their daughter.”

Rihanna is certainly milking her hit song Umbrella for all it’s worth. Aside from its many variations she’s teamed up with Totes to design (you guessed it!) umbrellas. Here she is, er, toting her wares at Fashion Week. But she’s setting her sights on other things, too. She’s working on her own clothing line. “Designing is something I have a big interest in,” she says, “and we are getting something together now.”
