Who doesn’t? Anyway, President Obama was being interviewed by CNBC’s John Harwood and during the pre-interview chatter (which is off the record), the talk inevitably turned to Kanye West’s stunt at the VMAs. When asked why he think Kanye did it, the President’s reply was a quick “He’s a jackass.”
The President quickly appealed to the reporters present to keep it off the record, as of course, people might get the wrong idea – he is president after all, and presidents are not really supposed to go around calling people names. Of course, you know how there is nothing secret in this town…some employees of the network overheard the remark through and immediately tweeted about it.
I say, let the President be – he is entitled to such remarks, too. PLUS he was not entirely wrong, was he?
