Glamour and style is big in the celeb world, but even the rich and famous get it wrong sometimes. Even with stylists around them, many A-list stars don’t know how to dress for a specific location or occasion and end up embarrassing themselves terribly.
Check out these horrendous fashion faux pas. Cringe!
Naomi Campbell

Supermodel Naomi Campbell shocked animal lovers everywhere when she was snapped wearing fur after posing for a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ad. The star modelled a selection of coats made from Russian saple, as part of a campaign for designer Dennis Basso, whose creations sell for up to $200,000 each. The catwalk beauty is not the only celeb to have been caught out donning animals skins with Madonna, Rihanna and Kanye West all named on PETA’s Worst-Dressed lists.
If you want a glamorous outfit without wearing a dead animal round your neck, faux fur is all the range these days. Now you can look a million dollars without running the risk of illegally buying the glossy coat of an endangered species. Read the rest of this entry »

Lady Gaga has unleashed the video for Born This Way onto the world and in true Gaga fashion it’s strange, fun and just plain cool.
Directed by fashion photographer Nick Knight and in conjunction with the Haus of Gaga creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson the video uses the same rebirth theme that Gaga has been touting since the Grammy’s with heavy visual effects.
According to Gaga:
“This is the manifesto of Mother Monster,” and “Thus began the beginning of the new race. A race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom.”

Celebrity fragrance company Coty Inc. has run into a bit of a snag with their newest perfume creation, a fragrance for Lady Gaga. Apparently Gaga has requested that her new perfume smell like semen with a hint of blood.
While the idea probably sounds absurd, there is actually a very good reason for her odd choice in scents. Rad Hourani, a well known fashion designer recently stated that he used the smell of semen to inspire six of his own new scents.

It’s just a community based PSA, which makes the horrendous quality even more fun to watch, here’s the video:

Lady Gaga wants her fans to smell like a Monster, but don’t worry she doesn’t think you should smell like the undead, instead her first perfume is tentatively titled Monster.
The perfume isn’t due until 2012, so there’s still quite the wait for fans and at this time the filed trademark has been submitted for approval but has not yet been approved.
I’m not sure what Gaga’s obsession with Monsters is (her tour is the Monster Ball) and she sells Heartbeats by Gaga her artist inspired earbuds which are manufactured and sold by the company Monster Products.

Here’s the best rumor we’ve heard yet about Lady Gaga, apparently a woman is claiming that her late daughters soul has possessed Gaga, allowing her to take the music industry by storm. It turns out the woman’s daughter was also a musician.
Yana Morgana has asked for the right to release dozens of songs that Gaga recorded with her daughter before she committed suicide in 2008 at the age of 19. She says her daughter Liina Morgana inspired Gaga’s fashion sense and persona from her wigs, boots and even as PopEater puts it her “tortured persona.”
“Every other word she says is from Lina,” Morgana told the New York Post. “She talks about having a dark and tragic life, but she had everything she wanted in the world.”

Lady Gaga may be a fiercly original pop star, but let’s face it, her gig has become pretty predictable, put her in a situation, have her pose half naked in that situation and then move on. That was the case for her recent V Magazine shoot in which she posed as the statue of Liberty…half naked.
In the photo (shown above), she wears a lacy bra and Calvin Klein undies as part of a collaboration she undertook with famed designer Marc Jacobs.
That gown hanging off her half-naked body? That would be a Louis Vuitton evening gown. Read the rest of this entry »
