With all the rumors that were circulating that Kara DioGuardi would be leaving American Idol, it doesn’t surprise us to learn that Fox execs have made that decision official.
Kara announced she has left the show on Friday afternoon during a press release, she said of her exit:
“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined ‘American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave ‘Idol,’” adding “I am very proud to have been associated with ‘American Idol’ – it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!”

TMZ.com is reporting that Randy Jackson was kept on the hit reality TV show American Idol so viewers would still have an "original connection" to the show, apparently Ryan Seacrest doesn't count!
Earlier this week it was announced that Kara DioGuardi was fired from the show, while Ellen DeGeneres chose to leave the show over time commitments and the fact that she didn't like having to give negative criticism.
Seriously Ellen you didn't realize you would have to criticize people on a singing talent show? Read the rest of this entry »

It isn’t just Catherine Zeta-Jones’ May cover that’s getting people to purchase Allure’s May issue; it’s the five stars that went all the way for the magazine’s annual “The Naked Truth” photo shoot.
First, there’s American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi, who proudly went from a size 8 to a sexier size 2. “Food is not what I use to anesthetize myself anymore,” she said.
Second, there’s actress Regina Hall, who credited her svelte body to Ashtanga Yoga, which she’s been doing five days a week since the beginning of January.
Third, there’s Emmanuelle Chriqui, one of the stars of Entourage. She may have one of the most sought-after pair of assets, but she revealed, “[I wish] I could have had a dancer's body.”
Fourth, there’s Grey’s Anatomy’s Jessica Capshaw, who actually doesn’t see herself as super sexy. “I was never a rail-thin person,” she said.
Lastly, there’s singer Colbie Caillat, who initially had worries about her baring it all for Allure. “I worried that it might make [my younger fans] think I was changing somehow,” she said.
I had hesitations about posting those nude photos on Celebrific, so just point your mouse here to see the official slideshow of Allure’s “The Naked Truth.”
Hey, let’s not forget Catherine Zeta-Jones, who also showed a lot of sexiness in the magazine’s photo shoot. Grab your copy of Allure’s May issue, out in newsstands April 20, or check out some behind-the-scenes photos here.

…and she’s flaunting them on Women’s Health. Not bad for a 39-year-old! The singer and American Idol judge landed on the magazine’s April issue and talks about AI, boyfriends, and music.
Here are some highlights of the interview:
On the rumored Kara-Paula rivalry: “Paula and I are friends, and she’s been a huge help to me. I like strong women, and Paula is a fighter. It’s great that there are times on the show now where you see girl power.”
On which artist she wants to collaborate with next: Prince. He’s a bold artist who’s done it on his own terms. You can listen to his records today and it sounds like he made them five minutes ago.”
How she keeps fit: “I drink lots of water and sleep eight hours a night. I also exercise three times a week: 20 minutes of cardio and 40 minutes of weights with cardio. I run up and down stairs and do the elliptical. I also do step-ups on a bench.”
On dieting: “Dieting is not my thing. I’m an eater—an Italian who doesn’t eat is an outcast—but I do it in moderation. I make a special dish of vegetables and sausage with garlic and oil. If I want to get crazy, I make rice—lasagna, too.”
Check out her toned bod—including a bikini photo—in the April issue of Women’s Health.

I think ecstatic is the word that she used. After the news that Ellen is going to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol got out, the current sole female judge of the show expressed her sentiments on the turn of events. I wonder how they will get along?
