How do celebs spend Thanksgiving in Hollywood? You’d be surprised how most would ditch the lavish catering services for the comfort of homemade Thanksgiving meals with their families. Some do drop the diva attitude and even spend time tackling the turkey in the kitchen.

Jessica Alba is one of those mamas that go beyond hot. While I have never been particularly into her, her steel underneath sultry looks stand out. The actress, who also doubles as a wife and mom, has branched out into other endeavors. Recently, she launched her own business called The Honest Company. The idea is not new – there is a host of other companies in the same niche – but it seems to be a passion for Alba.
The Honest Company aims to deliver family products that are natural and safe. At the same time, it offers personalized service. It works by asking some questions of the consumer first in order to customize products that will be sent to your doorsteps on a monthly basis. No, I haven’t tried it, but it seems to be going well for the actress turned entrepreneur. Read the rest of this entry »

Jessica Alba is very, very, very mad.
She’s suing the company Belly Bandit, a weight loss device for women who have just given birth, for using her name and likeness without her permission. The company listed Alba in their website’s list of celebrity testimonials, and even used her name on the product packaging (something along the lines of “Jessica Alba’s #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!”)
Jessica Alba’s belly is the envy of all. Flat as a board despite giving birth—and women naturally want to know how she did it. Can I just say that only an idiot would believe that a Belly Bandit would actually be enough to get that thin. There’s this new breakthrough product called diet and exercise, ladies, try it. And it’s endorsed by—what was that name again?—every doctor in the world.
What this all tells us is that while there are a lot of money-grabbing, exploitative companies, there are a lot more stupid customers who will pay for something just because of the photo of a celeb. Think, women, think. She has a trainer, a nutritionist, Photoshop, and a batallion of beauty and body treatments. Think you can get that out of a Belly Bandit box?

Oh no! Jessica nearly burned a hotel down, no kidding! According to the New York Post, the 29-year-old actress was trying to cook some fish sticks for an early dinner on Tuesday at the Smyth Hotel in TriBeCa when she made a booboo with the oven.
One of NY Post’s sources said, “She ended up almost causing a fire in her room. Fire alarms ended up going off throughout the hotel. The smoke was so bad that fire trucks had to come. The other guests in the hotel were pretty pissed.”
It turns out she didn’t know how to operate the hotel room’s oven to begin with. Well, at least nobody was harmed and the fire didn’t spread.

In case you didn’t know, Spanx is a Hollywood secret that stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, and Oprah Winfrey aren’t afraid to admit they’re using. With over 200 products that tuck and shape women of all sizes, Spanx is the reason why a lot of red carpet stars look great even after giving birth or gaining weight.

When the brand announced that they’re launching Spanx for Men, I say it’s about time! Who says men aren’t allowed to fuss over their excess flab and un-chiseled torso? Your vain man can now choose from a variety of Man Spanx undershirts, which promise to firm the chest, flatten the stomach, improve posture, and remove unflattering bulks.
I wonder which Hollywood actor would be the first to proclaim that he uses Manx.

The launch of the Tribeca Film New Distribution was held last Tuesday at W Hollywood. Unlike the Oscars and Grammys, the formal dress code wasn’t strictly implemented at Tribeca, so the stars in attendance were able to experiment with different trends. Allow me to play fashion police.

Jessica Alba picked a dress from the Proenza Schouler spring/summer 2010 collection. She went a bit over-the-top with the matching Proenza shoes, don’t you think?

Remember the little girl who played Grace Sheffield in hit ’90s TV show The Nanny? Madeline Zima, 24, is all grown up! Although this red dress looks great on her, she would have benefited from more dramatic accessories and statement shoes.

Nay! Actress Emma Caulfield could have pulled off this dress if it weren’t for the feather earrings and suede pumps. It’s an overkill of the Bohemian trend.

There must be something about how the moon, stars, and planets are misaligned once a year during the 14th day of February. It’s that time of the year where people think that they can dress a little crazier, a little more risqué, and a little more weird.
Well, it wasn’t exactly February 14; it was more like February 11, the night when the cast of Valentine’s Day attended the European premiere in London. The stars in attendance, who usually impress us with their red carpet frocks, shocked the begeezers out of me with their choice of threads that night. See for yourself.

The People’s Choice Awards 2010 just wrapped up and the night’s most stylish are already making headlines. Here are my top 5 picks:

Hot momma Jessica Alba shined in an Antonio Berardi brocade dress paired with silver strappies.

Sandra Bullock’s fashion choices have always been hit and miss, so I was happy to see her looking fabulous in this nude Vivienne Westwood gown.

While most celebrities followed the standard glam code, fashion rebel Ginnifer Goodwin stood out with her striped Christian Lacroix minidress accessorized with large corsages.

Always a red carpet favorite, Taylor Swift looked stunning in a white Jenny Peckham dress and silver Christian Louboutin shoes.

That Herve Leger gown fit Diane Kruger in all the right places, while her accessories spelled chic: a rockstar box clutch and metallic shoes.
Who was your favorite? View the red carpet arrivals, highlights, and winners here.

Jessica Alba looks absolutely glowing at her star-studded baby shower, which was held at the Ever After Teahouse in Studio City, Calif. Friends Kim Kardashian (not pictured) and Rashida Jones were by her side. Fiance Cash Warren dropped by in the middle of the event.

Jessica Alba isn’t impressed by Zac Efron, the star of ‘High School Musical’.
She told Elle magazine that she ran into the heart throb at the Teen’s Choice Awards. “He looks like a child with a lot of makeup,” she said. News flash, Jessica: little ‘kid’ just became a millionaire, and (at 28 years old) Jessica can’t claim to have that much more movie experience than he does.
